Syd:

I woke up and was blinded by the sunlight coming through the window. I sat up and rubbed my eyes trying to get all the dried tears off my face. My clothes were folded and sitting at the end of the bed and I saw that there was a note under my phone that was on the charger. I picked up my phone and the note was from Liam. "Sorry but Niall ended up staying the night. He got pretty drunk, I'm sorry. You don't have to talk to him and I left your car keys where mine usually hang."

"Great." I sighed my voice hoarse from just waking up. I got up and changed into the clothes I was wearing yesterday and put Liam's clothes he let me borrow in the hamper in the room. I grabbed my phone off the charger and slipped it in my back pocket. I walked downstairs and Niall was sitting on the couch with his face in his phone while the tv played in the background.

I ignored him and walked to the door and put my shoes on and grabbed my coat sliding it on before grabbing my keys. "Li, is that you?" Niall asked getting up and walking into the hall where I was standing hoping to make a silent exit like I was never there. "Oh, I forgot you were even here." He said.

"Yeah that's me, easily forgotten." I said and stormed off to my car.

"Syd, wait." He said coming outside and grabbing my wrist before I could get off the porch and to my car.

"What?" I asked on the verge of tears.

He didn't say another word. He me pulled into him and kissed me. My breath hitched and I kissed him back after a few seconds. I was not expecting this but I'll take it. We pulled apart and he put his forehead to mine. "We're going to dinner tonight, be ready to leave at 7:30." He said before kissing my forehead and walking back into Liam's house.

I stood on the porch dumbfounded for a few seconds before turning and walking to my car with a smile on my face. I got to work and I clocked in. I finished early and my boss let me leave which came in my favor being I had to go shopping for tonight. I went home and when I went to my room to change, there was a dress already on the bed with shoes. "Here's what you're wearing. See you soon -N"

The dress was perfect. It was a red form fitting dress. I went and took a shower and then blow dried and lightly curled my hair. I slid the dress on and smiled at myself in the mirror. I did my make up and twirled in the mirror again after. I slipped the heels on and grabbed my phone before walking downstairs. When I reached the bottom of the stairs Erica was standing there staring at me like I was a foreign object.

"Who are you and what have you done with Sydney?" She asked with a smile as I just smiled at her.

"I have a date with Niall tonight, this is what he picked for me to wear, it was laying on my bed with a note from him." I said.

"Actually I picked that, I just put the note he wrote on it." Erica said smiling.

"Well thank you cause I would have ended up dragging you out shopping." I said.

"EW." She said as she went and plopped down on the couch.

"So you know Niall kissed me this morning then right?" I asked and she jumped to her feet.

"He what?" She asked.

"Oh would you look at that, he's here... Love you later!" I yelled as I walked out the door and even if it was a lie to walk outside and out of the conversation, right as I closed the door Niall pulled up.

I smiled at his face when he saw me. "You look beautiful." He said as he came and greeted me on the porch. "You look handsome, as always." I said as he pulled me in for a hug. He kissed me before we walked down to his car and he opened my door for me and everything. We pulled up outside a really nice place and turns out they were highly expensive too. Niall had reserved us a table and we were taken to it right away.

Our food was already ordered and when we finally got our food we started talking. "I'm sorry I never put two and two together. I mean I've liked you since before you left Ireland but once you left we lost touch and I was in the boyband." He said as he put more food in his mouth.

"I would have kept in touch but I figured you forgot who I was." I said honestly as I took a drink of my wine.

"Why would I ever forget my first best friend?" He asked looking at me with a serious look.

"Like I said, I'm easily forgotten."
