You And I

Chapter 3:

Syd:

Work has been interesting to say the least. We started recording the duet and Niall and I have been talking a lot more. We have been spending a lot of time together out of the studio. Just this week alone we've gone to the movies, got frozen yogurt, went shopping together, and he came over just to hang out and I went to his. We are getting close like we were when we were younger but this time its much different.

I could tell that this time it was completely different. I noticed he would stare at me a lot and he would play with my hair a lot as well. I had just got home from being out with Niall when Erica came running out to the living room. "You're never gonna guess what happened!!!" She said.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm gonna be Louis Tomlinson's babysitter!" She yelled jumping up and down.

"Awesome, when do you watch Freddy for the first time?" I asked

"Well, I have to go over there tonight being that him and his girlfriend are going on a date." She said running back down the hall to her room to change into regular "leaving the house" clothes.

I plopped down on the couch when she ran back out with a quick bye and she was gone. "Great I just love being home alone." I said to myself as I got up and made sure the door and all the windows were locked. After I felt safe, I went back to the couch and laid down turning on the Tv and the news was on. "Ugh why does she watch this?" I asked myself picking up the remote.

Just as I was about to change the channel the news reporter said something that for some odd reason made my heart shatter. "Niall Horan was caught making out with a girl at the club, could this mean he's off the market? How long has this been going on? We'll tell you more once we know." The reporter said.

I shut off the Tv and right as I set the remote down my phone lit up flashing Niall's name. I ignored it and let it go to voicemail. I can't be upset really because we aren't together, but for some odd reason I feel like I like him more than just the friend he was when we were nine. My phone kept ringing and ringing and finally I couldn't take it any more and I answered.

"What?" I asked my voice clearly full with stress.

"Sorry, guess I called at a bad time." Erica said.

"No you're fine, I just saw something I didn't want to that's all." I said.

"Your grandma naked?" She asked causing me to chuckle.

"Please don't tell me is was grandpa." She said as I bust out laughing.

"No I guess the paps found Niall at a club and he was making out with some girl." I said.

"So you do like him, that's why I was calling anyway to see if you had heard about that."

"Yeah I heard, and he's been trying to get a hold of me ever since I saw the story."

"Well I'm sorry but I gotta go, Freddy's crying."

With that we said our goodbyes and hung up the phone. I paced around the house for a while just trying to figure out what I want to do about this. I know I should let him explain but at the same time I just want time to myself to figure things out. I was still pacing when there was a knock on the door.

"Erica, you need to start remembering your keys!" I shouted walking over and opening the door.

On the other side of the door, it wasn't Erica.
