You And I

Chapter 19:

Syd:

The next morning I woke up and went to the bathroom and saw three pregnancy test sitting on the bathroom counter, already taken and all three had two lines. I forgot all about the ones Niall brought home after grocery shopping. I shook as I looked at each of them. Three said I wasn't and now three said I am. I sped walked back to the bathroom and grabbed my phone before walking back to the bathroom. I called my doctor.

Shortly after Niall left for work I got ready to go to the doctors office. I got in my car and tried to drown out my anxiety with music. When I got to the doctors office I signed in and was taken back 5 minuets later. I did all the tests and then sat and waited for the results to come back. I was full on shaking when the doctor entered the room. She had a smile on her face and it scared me how happy she was. "Congratulations, Sydney you're pregnant." She said and I nearly fainted.

I know Niall said he would be happy either way, but if this was the case why did the first three tests come back negative. I asked the doctor and she said that some test are faulty like that. "Yeah just like the condom we used so this wouldn't fucking happen." I thought to myself as I put on a fake smile. How the hell was I going to tell Niall?

When I walked in the door, Niall was sitting on the couch watching tv. I took a deep breath and he looked up at me. "Hey sugar where you been?" He asked getting off the couch and walking over to me kissing me. "I. Um. Well. Funny story." I said as we both walked over to the couch.

"So I had a doctors appointment today." I said and he nodded.

"And they found out the weirdest thing." I said trying to sound calm when really I wanted to burst out into hysterics.

"What's that baby?" He asked.

"I'm..." I said and dropped off, I couldn't do it.

"Pregnant?" He asked pulling my chin so I was looking at him.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"I saw the tests on the counter this morning." He said with a smile as he kissed my forehead.

"I thought you said you weren't ready for a kid." I said trying to hold back my tears.

"Well, I thought about it when the realization finally hit me that the tests I bought were on the special rack and by the time you took them were expired." He said.

"But, what made you want a baby?" I asked.

"Playing with Freddy made me realize just how ready I really was. Not to mention it made me realize how much I wanted a child and how much I would love for you to be the mother. That's why I went and bought this." He said sliding off the couch and getting down on one knee and pulling a box out of his sweat pants pocket.

"Sydney Ann. Will you marry me?" He asked. Alright that's when I broke into hysterics in case you were wondering.

"Yes!" I said smiling as the tears rolled freely down my face.

"YAY!!!" Freddy yelled running out of the kitchen with Casper hot on his trail.

"CONGRATS, on the baby and the engagement guys." I heard. I looked over and there was Liam, Louis, Erica, and Harry.

"Thanks you guys." I said smiling as I got up to hug each of them.

"I made you guys a little something." Harry said walking back to the kitchen and coming out with a cake. "And don't worry Casper I didn't forget you." He added as he brought out a bowl of ice cream.

"Casper you're so spoiled." I said sniffling and laughing as I whipped my tears.

Casper just barked which made us all laugh.

"I love you Niall with all my heart and soul." I said kissing him.

"I love you too baby, too the moon and back."
