You And I

Chapter 18:

Syd:

I woke up the next morning to Casper licking my face. "Good morning my adorable baby boy." I said as I rolled over so I was laying on my back. He barked and wagged his tail and jumped off the bed waiting for me.

I got out of bed and stretched before walking out to the living room where Niall was sitting on the couch watching TV. "We're babysitting today." He said looking over at me as I grabbed one of Casper's toys and played tug of war with him. "Freddy?" I asked. "Who else?" He asked with a laugh as the door bell rang and Casper barked dropping the toy and running to the door. He say three feet away from the door and waited for us to open the door.

"Was he in like a dog school or something?" I asked.

"Yeah, the shelter wants the pets to be well behaved so they don't have to come back." Niall said.

I opened the door and Casper was instantly quiet and walked over to Louis who was holding a sleeping Freddy. Casper sniffed all of them down and I took Freddy from his arms. I took Freddy to the guest room. I put up the rails we have for him when he's here. I covered him up and Casper came in and jumped up on to the bed and curled up at the foot of the bed and went to sleep facing the door.

I walked back out and Louis and Erica were talking with Niall. "Where's the dog?" Louis asked a panicked look rushing across his face.

"Casper's napping with Freddy, he's making sure nothing happens to him and no one tries to harm him." I said the look washing away.

Louis walked back the hall and peaked in the door and saw they both sleeping away. He walked back out with a smile. "That dog is really well trained." He said as he walked over and wrapped his arms around Erica, placing his hands on her stomach.

"Are you two expecting?" I asked raising an eyebrow at them.

"...Yes..." Erica said.

"How long have you known?" I asked.

"2 weeks." She said.

"What is with you and not telling me things woman." I said.

"Well we better get to the doctors, we'll see you guys after." Louis said.

They left and about 10 minuets later we heard Freddy giggling in the guest room. Niall and I walked back to see Casper licking him while Freddy pet him. I smiled and walked in picking Freddy up and setting him on the floor. He walked to the door and Niall walked with him out to the living room, Casper right behind him. We put in a movie for Freddy to watch and Casper curled up next to him and made sure he was safe the whole time. I let Casper out into the yard and walked back into the living room to see Niall playing with Freddy.

He had him laying down and was swinging him around making airplane noises. "Super Freddy." He yelled and Freddy giggled. Now I kinda wish I was pregnant, this is adorable.

I heard Casper bark and I went and let him in. "In Coming!" I yelled so Niall would make sure Casper didn't take Freddy out when he was running.

I heard a thump and some crying. I ran in and Freddy was laying on the floor crying and Niall was picking him up. "Cas-" I was saying but Niall cut me off. "It wasn't Casper, He walked into the coffee table." He said. I took him from Niall and held him so his ear was able to hear my heartbeat, I may not be his mother, but it should calm him down. I flashed the flashlight from my phone in my eyes. No concussion, glad I don't have to explain that too Louis.

Right when he calmed down and fell asleep in my arms Louis walked in the door with Erica. They had very happy looks on their faces. Louis took Freddy from my arms and held him the same way I had been. "So how is everything?" I asked.

"We're having a girl." They said.

"That's awesome, congrats guys." I said

After we talked for a while they left to get Freddy home and to bed. I walked back to the bedroom and laid down on the bed. After today I kinda want a child of my own. I mean Erica and Louis are expecting his second child. I was happy I wasn't pregnant, but now I kinda wish I was.

I changed into my pjs and Niall walked. "Today was a long day." He said as he changed and crawled into bed. "Yeah." I said and crawled into bed.

"I can't wait until we have a child of our own." Niall said putting his hand on my stomach.
