SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL
❝So, the woman with the face of an angel waltzes into the bar of the Devil. Sounds like the beginning of a terrible joke.❞

ANNIKA HAYDEN is the epitome of good, the incarnation of pure, the embodiment of innocent — yet she can't help but walk, of all the clubs in the city of angels, in the one owned by Lucifer himself. They're, quite frankly, polar opposites — Annika is a kind-hearted teacher with a rescue kitten and Lucifer is, well, the Devil, who has a demon as his right-hand woman and spins a club that consists nearly entirely of carnal desires. Still, she finds her way amidst all the intensity and the passion and somehow, ends up being hypnotized by the man playing the piano and taking a vacation from being the Lord of Hell.
It's a simple night which Annika expects to be one-time deal, but in reality, she is only getting sucked into a spiral of homicide investigations, real-life angels and demons, and the struggle of falling in love with the Devil, who surprisingly, seems quite fond of her as well.
