You're Not Getting Away From Me

CHAPTER FIVE: Girl Time

Annabeth's POV

I was in the Zeus cabin with Thalia, Piper, Hazel, Calypso, and Reyna. Reyna and Piper had just finished telling us how Jason made this all happen.

"That was such a great idea! I really hope it becomes a tradition," I said.

"Oh, don't worry. As long as I'm Praetor-"

"And I'm Lieutenant-" Thalia added.

"This will happen every three summers," Reyna promised.

"So," Hazel said, "Annabeth, what are you and Percy going to do after this summer?"

"Uh, not sure yet. I tried to talk to Percy about it, but he always shrugs it off or avoids my questions." It aggravated me a little, but I knew Percy liked to "live in moment" as he said.

"Well, I'll beat him up for you if you'd like?" Thalia offered.

"No thanks, Thals, I'll figure it out," I responded, laughing at the image of Thalia going up to Percy at a random time and smacking him with her bow. "So what are your guys' plans?"

"Oh no, don't you dare change the subject Chase, YOU'RE avoiding the question this time," Piper said sneakily.

"What question?" I demanded. There was eye rolling and giggling mixed. "Seriously, I don't know what you guys are talking about, but you better tell me, 'cause I hate not knowing."

Piper started, exasperated. "When are you two-" but she was cut off with Will and Nico knocking on the door.

"Capture the Flag is starting. We're supposed to gather everyone at Zeus' Fist in ten," Will said through the door. We got up and went outside. I still wanted to know what Piper was going to say, but I was too excited at the moment.

"Reyna, please tell my doctor that I am perfectly capable of shadow travelling around camp to get the flag!" Nico said while shooting Will an annoyed look.

"While you did jump across half the world, I suggest you follow doctor's orders," Reyna answered, trying really hard to not laugh. Nico and Will walked away, Nico grumbling and Will scolding him. It was so great to be back.
