I follow Rick on Goodreads, and he often puts up blog posts for all of us fans to read. His latest one is about how he recently won the Stonewall Award for his character, Alex Fierro. He included his acceptance speech, and it's honestly one of the best things that he has ever written, and that is definitely saying something. It made me not only appreciate Uncle Rick as a writer more, but also more as a person (not that I already didn't). I think every one in the entire country should read this, so I'm just going to help spread the word to his fans. Trust me, taking the time to read this is worth every second. Here's the link:
