Percy's POV
I decided to Iris-Message my mom because I haven't talked to her since Annabeth and I got back to Camp. Also, my little sister got pretty upset when I went a long time without talking to her. I wondered if Annabeth wanted to see them, too, so I went to find her. I passed Piper and Jason so I asked them if they'd seen her.
"I think she went to her cabin," Piper told me.
"Great, thanks."
I walked over to the Athena cabin and knocked on the door. No response. The door wasn't locked so I peeked my head in. Nobody was in there. (By "Nobody" I meant no one was in there, not Nobody as in... Never mind.) I was about to leave when I saw a folder lying on Annabeth's bed.
"What's Wise Girl working on now? We're on break, for Hades' Sake!" I thought out loud. I went over and sat on her bed and opened up the folder to find blueprints I had never seen before.
They were of a really awesome house. It looked like Annabeth had put a lot of time and work into the plans. Who were these for? I flipped the papers over.
Our Dream House.
Those words were written in Annabeth's loopy but neat handwriting on the back. It hit me all at once. She'd been thinking about it, too, and apparently for a long time. Now I knew that she was ready for what I was going to ask her. And more pieces of my plan began to fall into place.
