CeCe POV
"Hit and run, huh? That's beautiful. I could lose my license for this, Ce."
I sigh and nod, "I didn't know what else do. She just walked away!" Aunt Spencer scoffs, shaking her head, "you wanna tell me what it is with you and this girl? Huh? That you're willing to break the law for her? Nobody is worth that."
My hands throw themselves up in exasperation, "I couldn't let Emily get away with it the way she does everything else. And I sure as well could let her do that to her."
She nods and holds her hand out to stop me, "okay. What about the guys car you hit? Huh? He just gets screwed over?" I shake my head, "I left him a note. I said I did it. Bring his car here."
Spencer scoffs sarcastically, "oh, well, that's just great. CeCe, you know I'm already struggling to bring in paying customers."
"Look, I'll do the work myself, alright? After hours. And I'll pay for the materials."
"Oh, you're damn right you will. Your mom's going to love this."
"No. She's got enough to deal with. You don't have to tell her, Spencer."
She chuckles, "oh, I'm not going to. You are. And if you don't, then I will. Because you're going to take something away from this..." She goes to walk away but pauses, looking at the car, "cover the car. I'll give you a ride home."
I nod and look inside the car, sighing as I take the keys off the seat but pausing when I see something. I pull out the black beanie and study it, seeing the little tag inside of it with an AD written on it.
Alison was with Emily in this car? Is that how she got home? But that can't be possible. Why would Alison be with Emily at all?
Emily POV
I walk into the other room with just boxers and a sports bra on when Hanna glares at me from the couch, holding the TV remote.
"You reinvented cruel last night, you know that?"
I look at the TV and see the prom video I showed everyone last night. I chuckle, "come on it was just some fun Hanna."
"This is not fun, Emily. You're being an ass to your own sister-" "don't call her that!" I shout and she scoffs, standing up, "what you did was terrible."
"It was a joke!"
"Funny how you were the only one laughing, Emily." Her eyes are angry and defensive so I snap at her, "oh like you and that stupid clothing line of yours?"
She stares at me and looks away, shoving my shoulder, "I'm leaving-" "Wait no. Han. Hanna I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry is getting a little old with you, Emily."
I sigh and shake my head, "I know. Look it's just...I don't even remember the last time things have been this bad..."
She stares at me and blinks, folding her arms, "where were you after the party? For the past 6 hours?"
"Beer run," I reason and she scoffs, "Where to? Japan? Emily, I wanted to go home last night but I couldn't because my car is missing. You don't happen to know anything about that would you now?" She cocks her head to the side and I bite my cheek nervously.
"Uh...I think Noel took it."
Her eyes widen angrily, "you think?"
"Well he uh wanted to take Aria home so I told him to take your car. I didn't think you'd care anyways," I shrug reasonably and she rolls her eyes, grabbing a cup, "never have I ever told a fake ass lie to my girlfriend. Drink up," she thrusts the cup towards me and I sigh, "Hanna-" "Aria went home with Bridget last night after you disappeared. Wanna play again liar?"
