Emily POV
"Are you crazy? Why would you do something like that?" Dad follows me throughout the house and I can only groan, rolling my eyes at him. "Would you just chill? It's fine, dad."
"Don't tell me to chill Emily. I'm not the idiot running around challenging this kid-" "you mean your daughter?"
"Don't call her that," he snaps at me, making my eyes roll to the back of my head, "whatever dad. I gotta go. I have a match to win. Noel, come on." I drag Noel outside with me and we get into my black 2014 Mustang GT with the blue neon glowing lights on the bottom of it, then I drive off, screeching the tires.
I pull up to the river court and people cheer as I get out, seeing Cece standing, talking to a girl who looks sort of familiar. Blonde hair and she's definitely shorter than me. She's cute.
"I was starting to think you wouldn't show," she says when she turns to me. I smirk and scoff, "you kidding? And miss beating your scrawny ass?" I take the ball from her and she sighs, "whatever."
I turn around and see Hanna standing there, "hey." I hand her my jacket and she stares at me, "so what happens if you win?"
"It quits the team."
She scoffs, "little harsh? That it? Is a she." "Could've fooled me."
"You're unbelievable, you know that?" I shrug, "you love it."
She sighs and I kiss her until she pulls away. "What if she wins?"
"She won't."
"If she does?"
"Then, she gets you."
I walk away from Hanna and her dropping jaw as I glare at Cece, "ready to lose and go back to your shed of a house?"
She chuckles, "no teams. Just you and me little sister."
I stare at her, shocked by her confidence and snap, making me uneasy but I instantly cover it up, "works for me. Don't know why you enjoy embarrassing yourself but okay." I thrust the ball at her chest, making her grunt and catch the ball.
"Go Ce!" The girl I saw before cheers and I hear the guys shouting my name.
We start and Cece tries to dribble but I steal the ball, going around her as I jump up, slamming the ball in the hoop, my hands grasping the rim.
We go back and forth and I am one point behind. I take dribble around her and when she gets back in front of me, I elbow her in the face, running past and dunking the ball. Everyone stands in shock, the guys laugh and I see Hanna staring at me in disbelief with Aria at her side. I just shrug with a sly grin on my face while she shakes her head.
Cece spits out blood and wipes her lip, "no foul. Basket counts. You'll need it."
I chuckle and we continue until it's 9-9.
"You know, he never even mentioned you when I was young? Not even once. Try not to choke," I joke and she chuckles without humor, then narrows her eyes at me. "This one's for my mom."
She dribbles and I keep up, going to grab the ball as she takes a step in but she backs up quickly, going for the fadeaway as she shoots the ball up, the chains of the hoop tingling.
I stare in shock and anger as she cheers, her friends running and hugging to her and the guys are more than pissed. I walk past Cece but not before I look at that girl one more time as she hugs Cece tightly.
Are they dating or something?
I shake my head and walk away, standing at my car.
Hanna POV
"So that wasn't terrible. Guess you can play," I say to Cece as I approach her. "Thanks. I think?"
I chuckle and sigh, "so I don't know if what Emily said was true about how you get me if she loses because I'm not a property-" "no. She was probably being a dick. If I won, she stays on the team."
I frown, raising an eyebrow in confusion, "huh?"
"It's the last thing she wants. Being on a team with me. I'd rather watch her suffer than quit and get off easy."
I chuckle, "smart move-" "Hanna."
I turn my head and Emily raises her eyebrow impatiently at me. "Gotta go," I say and nod at Cece, then leave with Emily who shuts my door for me, getting into the passenger seat.
We drive home in an uncomfortable silence. "You not going to talk the whole time?"
"If I did I would be talking," she stops in front of my house and we both get out. "Sorry you lost," I say and she shakes her head, "whatever. Let's just not talk, k?" She takes her clothes off, then her boxers as she clashes our lips together, getting on top of me on my bed.
Alison POV
"You did amazing! You totally shut her down!" I hug her tightly and she chuckles, "it did feel pretty good."
"Hey! How was it?" Mary asks as we walk into the Brew.
"I won," she says and Mary gasps, "oh I'm so happy for you! That's amazing!" She hugs her tightly and I grin, "well I better get going. See ya. Congrats Ce. Have fun on the team."
1 Week Later
Emily POV
"Hey, who's that girl he's always hanging around?" I ask Noel as we watch Cece and some girl walk away.
"That's Alison DiLaurentis. I heard they're best friends. She's a tutor here. Real smart," he nods and I grin, "perfect."
"What?"
"I have a plan. And since hazing the idiot didn't work out so well? I'm moving onto plan B." I walk to class and continue on my day, getting my teacher to write me a note to get a tutor, Alison DiLaurentis specifically.
I walk in and see her reading a paper. "Hey," I say and she looks up, scoffing, "wrong room."
"This is the tutor center right?"
"Wrong person."
"You're Alison DiLaurentis."
She sighs, "what do you want?"
"I'm Emily Fie-" "I know who you are. What do you want."
I chuckle and say, "you're my tutor."
Alison laughs unhumorously and shakes her head, "yeah right. Try again." I show her the paper, "that's what was given to me. Alison DiLaurentis. I am failing math and English."
She stares at me, "I can't help you." She turns around but I sigh, playing desperate, "please." "Cece is my best friend, do you understand that?"
"Sure but I don't see what that has to do with my grades."
"I'm not tutoring you. I wouldn't do that to her. Bye." She walks me out the door and closes it behind me roughly.
Well, that's a start.
