Chapter 44-What Happened?

Tony's POV
"Something is wrong with her." I said to Capsicle after Sheby had left to her floor. "She was quite and was deep in thought."

  "I agree with you Stark." Steve said then looked at me. "Use your cameras and see what she's doing in her room?" Not disagreeing with him, for he was right, I took out my phone pressed a few buttons before I was on the camera in Sheby's room.

  The elevator door opened and we got out and into the living room where the others were. I pulled the video up on the TV. Legolas, Nat, Break Point, and Jolly Green seemed confused by the video feed of Sheby.

  "Why are we stalking Red?" Legolas asked, Capsicle answered before I could.

  "The whole ride back Sheba was quite and left to her floor in a rush. Whatever she saw must have hit her hard." We all looked at the screen to find Sheby hacking her way into SHIELD and was successfully in 20 minutes.

  She searched the name Steven Collins. Nat and Legolas seemed surprised by how Sheby knew about this man but said nothing as we watched what she would do next. JARVIS just read out loud on what the file had said.

  When she had finished she searched the name Richard Santiago. Just like she did with the last person JARVIS read out loud the information on his file and seemed sadden at his death. She logged out and closed the file, I turned off the video feed.

  "You two seemed interested when she pulled up the file Steven Collins." I said and both assassins look at me.

  "Steven Collins was the hard to crack when captured." Nat started off. "Of course I wasn't there but when looking through the old files I was interested in him. SHIELD had to do lots of things to get him to talk."

  "What about Richard Santiago?" Bruce as he was as interested as the rest of us.

  "Richard was a good man from what I had heard. He answered every question and gave loads of information," She then adds in quickly. "At least thats what some older agents had said abut him."

  "My questions is how did Red know about these guys?" Legolas asked to no one in particular. I thought about her and that building, there was a connection with her, the HYDRA agents, and that building but the pieces wouldn't fit in.

  "I knew them because Richard Santiago was the man who had given me the first gem."

Sheba's POV
The Avengers turn back to see me leaning against the hallway wall. Pushing myself off the wall I walked over to the small kitchen to grab a drink. While walking I could feel them all staring at me, waiting for what I had to say next.

  "Richard gave you the gem?" Turning around it was Clint that had asked the question.

  "He was the one we saw back in that tree and the man who had given me the gem." Sitting down on a stool I open the bottle of water.

  "What about the building you went inside of?" Steve asked and I put up a hand signaling them to hold on.

  After taking a gulp of water I answer his question. "Originally I was going to the Tower but the gems start to glow. Following where they..." I trailed off thinking of what to really call it I agreed on something. "Taking me I found myself in that alleyway.

  "It felt strange. Quick flashes of the past came and then I was back to the present. Concentrating hard on the past I found myself watching my own past but at the time I didn't know. He had made me forget and then left me in that alleyway while he left.

  "That's why I started to run. I was following him to that warehouse but at the time it was the HYDRA facility. Richard had went inside a meeting room here Collin and others were but I focused on Richard.
