Today is a very important day for Mei.
She's meeting her first company today, which happened to be Jellyfish Entertainment.
"Are you nervous?" The Pledis CEO asked her. He had tagged along, seeing how Mei was basically owned by him at the moment.
Mei nodded shortly. She was actually terrified. She had tried to implant the thought of not liking any other company but Pledis since last night, but she knows that that's not going to be the case at one point.
Once they arrived at the Jellyfish building, they were met by a group of tall, handsome guys that reminded Mei of people like Wonwoo and Mingyu in Seventeen Project.
"Hello we are VIXX!" The boys introduced themselves and both Mei and Pledis-nim bowed at the boys.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Mei and this is the CEO of Pledis" She introduced herself and him shortly before seeing a man around his 50's walk in.
"Ah, Mei! You're here already. If you don't mind, we'd like to show you around the building and then we'll talk about what we have to offer, is that okay?" Mei agreed and the journey started.

"So what happened at Jellyfish?" Mingyu asked Mei and she sighed. She was currently sitting at a table with Mingyu, Wonwoo, Hansol, Joshua, Soonyoung, Seokmin, Seungkwan and Chan.
"They offered a group debut as soon as the other girls were ready, but I didn't get to meet the actual trainees"
"Did you like the company though?" Seokmin asks and she shakes her head. Truthfully, she did like the company, but not the way she likes Pledis.
The boys make disappointed sounds which makes her slightly confused. "Yah! Why does it feel like you guys want me to leave?!"
The boys were quick to deny her statement and they all just laughed. This is what Mei didn't want to leave behind, but she knew that her career had to become the priority when meeting other companies.
—
More videos of Mei were posted online, which made more companies interested, but only some dared to make an offer to meet her personally.
Mei had now been at Pledis for a year. Seventeen Project now seemed to have turned more serious debut-wise, seeing how they were now trying to make a final lineup of the boys who actually were going to debut.
Pledis Girlz was also turning more serious, now planning some predebut songs they could release to bring in fans.
And then there was Mei. She was just a trainee with no clear future. She wasn't worried though, seeing how she had only been here for a year, and how she knew she needed more time to grow.
The Jellyfish offer had been politely declined by Mei, and they understood, but also added that if she ever wanted to be part of Jellyfish, there would always be a spot for her. That made Mei feel grateful and happy, but it made the CEO worry.
Jun had now been practicing his Korean non-stop with his friends to hold a proper conversation with Mei, but little did he know that her Korean was lacking in various ways. She had trouble learning a lot of the grammar, she knew what it meant when she heard it, but she doesn't know how to apply it.
Jun had thought about learning English just to be able to have a nice conversation with Mei, but he knew it would take too much time and he doesn't have much to spare at the moment.
—
"Hello my name is Mei and this is my trainee profile! Woooow!" She spoke to the camera and smiled. A good thing about her was that she never seemed to be awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera, she always seemed confident and fun, which made it easier for people to become her fans
"I was born July 10, 1998 in Houston, Texas! I have two brothers and one sister, which only one of my brothers and my sister are older than me, while the other brother is younger" She really liked talking about her family, but she knew it wasn't the point of the video, so she moved on.
"I've been training for a year and two months, I auditioned here in Korea with dance and vocal as my main points. I've definitely improved while being here!"
She kept talking about herself, mostly about the whole trainee process and a little more about herself, but she was satisfied with what she shared.
She peeked outside the room, looking for the next person to record their profile.
"Ah Jun! It's your turn now!" She exclaimed happily towards the Chinese boy and he smiled at her softly.
