It was finally the day of the party.

After many hours of convincing, Mei finally had her final outfit that she was going to wear. As much as Mei wanted to refuse and decide on a different outfit, she knew deep down that this was the ideal one.

The morning started off normally, Mei waking up around nine in the morning, having a small, very small actually, breakfast and getting ready to work on the choreography that was assigned over the break. She knew that no one would be smart enough to train the day of the party, so Mei took the chance.

During training there were so many things going through her head, like, what if Jun doesn't show up, what if this was all a plan to make her life hell, and so on. All these thoughts made Mei lose focus and trip on her own feet.

"Woah are you okay?" She heard someone call out from the door of the training room. She looked for the owner of the voice and found none other than Joshua, a worried look on his face.

He helped her up from the floor, making sure she wasn't severely hurt or anything.

"Are you sure you're okay? You don't look okay" He insisted but she just smiled softly.

"I'm fine, Joshua" He sighed.

"If there's something wrong you know you can tell me, right?"

"Well there is one thing on my mind..." She trailed off. Joshua was all ears now. "You know how Jun invited me to the party?" He nodded. "Well I guess I'm just nervous, or something. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy and everything, but my mind keeps telling me to not become close to him, almost like to push him away"

"Why?"

"I guess it's because I know I'll probably leave soon, so I don't want to hurt him or anyone by creating these bonds and having to leave them, you know?"

"Mei, you're not going to hurt anybody. It's not like you're going to disappear and never be seen again. Just because you're not next to us doesn't mean we'll never see you again. We'll stay in touch no matter where you go, okay?"

All decorations were set up, and all food was in place. All that was missing was the guests.

"Mei, are you ready yet? We're gonna be late if you don't hurry" Yebin yelled through the dorm, only to get a short response right after.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, don't get your panties in a twist" Mei whispered the last part, but she knew that even if the other girl had listened, she wouldn't have understood.

Mei came out from the bathroom, showing herself in her outfit for the first time since she bought it. Her hair was nicely curled, even though it was at shoulder length, and her makeup looked light yet beautiful.

"Wow, you look amazing!"

"Jun is going to die when he sees you!"

"Mei..."

Mei turned to look at the owner of the voice, only to find a teary-eyed Pinky looking like an incredibly proud mother. The girl rushes to hug Mei, whispering calming words like "you'll be fine" and "just try and have fun".

Once everyone had gotten over the whole Mei scenario, the girls were ready to leave.

Holiday party, here we come.
