"So you're saying you want to do the switch now?"
Mei currently sat in the CEO's office, after having cried for over an hour and pacing around her room, she finally came to the conclusion that staying in Pledis would just burden her more. She was the only one to see it this way, however, she is the one to have the final say in the decision.
He sighed and took out a folder from his drawer, opening it.
"It's a shame we have to let you go so fast, but I knew you'd be limited with us. You have so much more to offer to the industry that we can't handle as a company just yet, that's why I'm supporting this decision"

Junhui sat in the small dance room, filled with more trainees as they all have been working on a new choreography for the past couple of weeks.
He hadn't gotten any news on Mei or her decision, in fact, no one had. All the girls were left in the dark about what could possibly happen with her, and Jun could honestly just fear the worst.
"What's on your mind?" Minghao asks, sitting down next to the boy and taking a sip of his water.
"I don't want Mei to leave, but it would be best for her if she did. I want to support her but I want to be by her side when she does well, you know?"
"No matter what happens with her, you will always be by her side, because that's the Wen Junhui that I know. If she does end up transferring, just do what's right in your heart, but don't try to stop her, she wouldn't want to stop you if you were in her shoes"
Jun knew he was right, if things were the other way around, he knew Mei would never want to interfere with his dream of debuting, so that's what he'll do too.

After a couple of phone calls and a lot of signatures, the day had come to an end, and so had Mei's decision.
"As soon as they have an open spot in the dorms they're looking for, you'll be able to move in with them, but for now you're no longer a Pledis trainee. You are now theirs, and I'm so proud of that. Please promise me that you'll work hard and never forget where you started"
"I promise, CEO-nim, I will continue to grow even if it's not under your name and I will make you and the whole company proud, and I promise to never forget any of you, thanks to everyone I am the way I am today" Mei said with tears in her eyes.
This was such a bittersweet moment for her and for the CEO, he took care of her for so long and grew a special bond with the girl, so saying goodbye to her was a lot more painful than he thought. As for her, she had called this place home for such a long time that it hurt trying to let it go, but she knew it's what's right.
Maybe BigHit won't be so bad.
