Mei didn't want to see anyone at the moment, just Jonghyun. It sounded very unfair, seeing how everyone else had also been incredibly close and kind to her, but right now her heart only wanted to open up to Jonghyun and Jonghyun only.

Her phone vibrated for the thousandth time that day, but she still didn't pick up. Everyone else who had tried and get a hold of her was beginning to be on edge.

"Any answer?" Joshua asked Jieqiong, only for the girl to shake her head and sigh. No one could understand, what was happening to her? She always seems so happy and alive, so what caused her to be like this?

Sadly for Mei, the night was coming, which meant she should probably let Jonghyun go home so Jieqiong would come back to her dorm.

"It's almost curfew Hyun, you should go" She said in a quiet voice, disappointed that time had passed by so fast and she had to face reality once again. His face seemed to drop once he looked at the clock but replaced it with a soft smile, trying to keep the mood up as high as possible at that moment.

"Alright, I'll get going now then, do you want me to ask if you can have your classes with me tomorrow?" He asked, putting on his jacket. Mei just nodded silently with a tiny smile on her face.

She waved him goodbye and tucked herself into her sheets, knowing very well that Jieqiong would want to talk to her as soon as she walked into the room.

A couple minutes later, the door opened slowly and a hushed voice was heard.

"Mei? Are you okay?" It was Jieqiong. She didn't want to scare the poor girl away by lashing out at her, so she tried the next best thing.

Mei didn't respond, she just laid there.

"You can't just ignore us forever, you know? We're really worried about you. All of us"

"Don't" Mei said, it was barely audible but the other girl had caught on to it.

"Huh?"

"I said don't. Don't worry about me, worry about yourselves and your future. I'll probably leave this place and you'll have sacrificed time and effort into worrying about me rather than your own career"

"Is that what this is all about? Are you serious Mei?" Jieqiong's voice started getting louder which made the girl cuddled up in bed to sit up, looking confused as ever. "Don't look at me like that, you know how much you mean to us. Even if you end up changing companies or quitting the business or anything, it won't be a waste of time for any of us. You're such a big part of our lives Mei, please don't push us out"

"It's better that way, and you know that, I'm just an annoying pebble in your shoes that one day you'll have to take out and throw somewhere else, I'm just an inconvenience"

Jieqiong was growing impatient, Mei was clearly not in the right mind to listen to anyone and there was no use in even trying to argue.

"This is not over" She said before storming out of the room. Mei just sat there, registering what had happened just moments before and how she got to where she was now.

A little part of her wanted to believe Jieqiong, maybe she was someone relevant to the people here and she was wanted, even if at one point her departure were to come. Sadly, an even bigger part of her convinced her that she was just taking time away from everyone: her friends from training, the staff from putting effort into training her the company's way, the CEO for having one more trainee to worry about, the list could go on and on.

"What do I do now?" She asks herself.

I'M NOT DEAD, JUST OLDER AND FORGETTING TO UPDATE ALWAYS. I'M SORRY I LEFT THIS BOOK IN THE DARK FOR LIKE 10 (? MONTHS.
I still see your guys' comments tho, it's so nice to see people still enjoying this story even if it's been quite a while since it started and I wasn't in the best maturity position to write anything, but I'm so glad you guys like it and I'll really try to update more often):
