Delilah's POV

I stepped onto the stone path, my heels going clickety-clack. Bright sunlight washed over the gold palace. It was massive, with a big entrance hall and tirrets towering high above, all over the place. The walkways buzzed with people - servants, peasants, authorities, guards - anyone was welcome at Aureud Castle. I turned on to a tiny side path, not even having to look to see where I was going. I've got this castle memorized like the back if my hand. A black arch stood in front of me, roses crawling over it. To the left is the palace, and to the right is a hedge that acts as a fence. I step into the garden, and a sense of calm sweeps over me. It's not a uniform garden, with rows of flowers in beds and vegetables and whatnot. It's just nature, a tree in the corner with a swing attached, rose bushes in the middle, daisies dotting the whole thing, and honeysuckle surrounding the perimeter. Ah. Honeysuckle. Those are my favorite. I sit on the swing and reach into a nook between the roots of the tree where I kerp my book. I start to read, and am absorbed in the book.

"Hi!" a cheery voice startles me, and I drop the book. Oh. It's just Roxy, the gardener. Her spiky, short black hair with a red streak shakes as she curtsies. "I'm sorry to startle you, Princess Delilah!."

"Oh, you don't have to curtsie! And just call me Delilah."

"Okay." She shrugs and goes back to work, adjusting the green apron that she's wearing over her pink dress. I stand up, nod at her, and leave the garden to enter the castle. When you first step in, there's a huge hallway with marble floors and a huge gold chandeleir. The walls are engraved with intricate patterns, and are, of course, golden. To the right is the kitchen, to the left is the entrance to a turret, and a little past the center of the room is a winding staircase that leads up to the rest of the towers, except for the tallest one. That one is at the end of a hallway straight in fron of me, beyond the staircase. On either side of that hall is two staircases leading up to a balcony with another hallway that has the bedrooms. I head this way and to my bedeoom. the last one on the left, across from Leila, my lady-in-waiting, next to Mother's, and kitty-corner from Xayn's. Xayn is a prince. Our mothers rule the kingdom, Pielandia. The reason we have two queens is that the country is divided in two parts: Twilight and Noon. Twilight is full of skyscrapers and people workong on computers. The peole who don't have as much creativity live there. Noon is where quaint villages, rolling hills, and flowing steams are. I've loved every visit there; it's so full of magic. My mom rules that side, and Xayn's mom rules Twilight. So... we're a prince and a princess. Perfect, right? Everyone's got our wedding already planned. Well, it's not so perfect. He's not really a nice prince. Not snooty, just... angry. I don't really see myself with him.

I enter my grand bedroom. There are two pillars at the entrance, and the floor is tile, but most of it os covered with my blue and red swirled carpet. My bed is across from me. It's a sky blue princess bed with a sheer silver veil that compliments the royal blue walls. To the left is mu vanity, to the right is my walk in closet. The back wall is all a bookshelf, and on either side of my bed is my nightstand and my comfy blue reading chair. I check my appearance in the ornate mirror. I'm so tall I have to crouch a little. My long, wavy, multi-colored hair is draped over my shoulders. The top of it, near the root, is light blonde; then it fades to red, purple, and finally sky blue. My dress has short sleeves and a green amd blue intricate pattern that poufs out. My tiara is a bluish-silverish metal that curves and dips up to a teardrop shaped sapphire. Sometimes wearing these dresses makes me feel beautiful, but right now I'd rather wear somethong more comfortable. I change into a light blue T-shirt and khaki colored cargos.

There's a knock at my door, and there's Leila. She's tall, slightly less than me. Her hair is long and wavy and a brown color with a magenta tint. She wears a magneta/purple t-shirt that matches the color of her tiara and jean shorts that almost reach her knees. She and my other lady-in-waiting, Mackenzie, have tiaras because they are my honorary sisters. Leila and I link arms and hurry to the castle entrance.

Whew! That was long! Alright, if you know me and I haven't already asked you this question, comment what you would want to look like if you could look like anything, and what your name would be. And your medieval occupation. If you can't think of one, I'll come up with it.

Happy reading! Please comment!
