Leila’s P.O.V.

“Delilah! Delilah!” I cry, trying to wake her up. As soon as she saw Xayn being taken by the assassins, she started to hyperventilate and then passed out before all of our eyes.

“Somebody wake her up!” Marie commands, frantically looking around.

“Ugh… this will do!” Renny takes off her boot and shoves it near Delilah’s nose.

“Ah! I’m awake!” Delilah screamed, rapidly sitting up.

“We have to find Prince Xayn!" Jade insists.

"We should send out search parties," I suggest. Delilah nods in agreement.

"Definitely. We can have a few teams of knights, some servants, and us. I definitely want to help look," Delilah comments. Renny looks at us nervously.

"Yeah, but isn't that what happened to Prince Xayn? He went out and got captured, we don't want that to happen to you!" Renny cries.

"But we need to find him!" Marie protests.

"We need to organize this. And someone needs to tell the queens," I say before rushing off to the throne room. The guards quickly recognize me and let me through. Inside Delilah's mom sits on a vibrant red velvet throne, her husband on one side and Xayn's father on the other. "Prince Xayn has been captured by assassins! We need to organize search parties!" I announce.

Delilah's father immediately stands up. "I'll lead a search party. Guards!" he says before rapidly walking out of the room, some guards following after him like puppies.

I leave, bowing to the remaining Queen and King who have extremely worried expressions on their faces and begin to talk to each other as I exit. Quickly, I rush to the kitchen where Logan is cooking.

"Logan! Prince Xayn has been captured by assassins!" I yell. He immediately looks up from what he's doing, walks over to me, and wraps his arms around me in a hug. I grin, even though the situation is grim. Suddenly my heart beats faster in my chest and my stomach feels all fluttery. Logan steps away and looks at me. I then realize what a pretty bluish-green his eyes are, and the windswept way his hair falls into his eyes.

"Leila?" he asks uncertainly. I realize I've been staring at him for more than a few seconds. I'm sure I'm blushing as I turn away.

"Thanks," I say appreciatively, running out of the kitchen to find Delilah. I already feel a stupid smile spread across my face. I think maybe I am falling for Logan.
