Jade's P.O.V.

"He really shouldn't be going on that trip now. It's way too dangerous," Delilah comments while sipping her iced tea. We're at Bluet Retande again.

"I totally agree. Like, what if something happened to him?" Marie agrees.

"Yeah. It would be best if he didn't go," Leila adds.

"What if it happens again? What if someone's trying to start a war with us?" I wonder out loud.

"That's stupid, though. Why would someone be starting a war with us? Who would start a war with us, and why would they only want the Prince?" Renny contradicts.

"Yeah, but maybe he had important information or something," I suggest.

"Hm. Well at least we know that if it ever happens again, we can handle it. Delilah and Leila are like... ninjas! And I'm a wizard and you're an assassin, and Marie... well Marie can kick butt too!" she says cheerily, always on the bright side. I shrug, because it was awesome when Delilah flipped that guy over.

"I'm going to go see if he's still going through with this 'journey' of his. See you guys!" Delilah says as she hops on her hoverboard and zooms off.

"Hey Jade, can you test a new feature of the hoverboards?" Renny questions. Leila has to help Logan cook, and Marie's doing something with Narwhal, so I'm the only one left since I didn't have any new assignments. I agree and we head up to the wizard tower. She hands me a silver band to slip on my wrist, then adjusts a dial and taps something on my hoverboard.

"This is so if your hoverboard ever gets lost or stolen, it'll get back to you. It also helps personalize your board," she explains. "Hop on." I step onto the hoverboard and there's a rustling beneath my feet. The bracelet on my arm glows. I look down again, and the hoverboard has been adjusted so that it's green with bright red flames crawling up the surface. Even the shape has shifted, so now it's got an s shape like a snake.

"Whoa!" I breathe, in awe of the coolness of it. Renny squeals with happiness.

"I'm gonna try!" She places one of the metallic bracelets on her wrist and jumps on to her own hoverboard. Suddenly it's light purple and has a black cat pattern, and has gotten smaller. Cat ears pop out of the top, and a tail slithers behind. She squeals again.

"This is so amazing!" she cheers. And she came up with it? Benjamin enters the room and notices our improved hoverboards.

"That's awesome! Can I try?" he yells. Renny blushes slightly and grabs another bracelet.

"Thanks!" I shout over my shoulder as I grab my board and run out of the tower. On my way out I see Riley, the guard who brought me my assignment yesterday. He waves and smiles at me before running over to me.

"Hey Jade!" he greets over-enthusiastically.

"Hey," I mutter.

"Whoa, your hoverboard is way cool!" he compliments. We walk up to the military tower. "Do you want to train with me?" he asks hopefully. I consider it, because it would be a good idea to practice. I guess it couldn't hurt to have some company.

"Sure," I answer as we head into one of the generic training rooms. I pull out my Ipod and play "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons.

"I love this song!" he cheers. I laugh and pull out my bow and arrow and he challenges my accuracy. I win, of course. This training session is turning out to be more fun than I thought it would be.
