Marie's point of view
Oh shnaps, Prince Xayn has been kidnapped! Frantically, I hop on my hoverboard and zoom back to my street, hoping a game of soccer will help clear my reeling mind. Frederick and Narwhal gladly play with me, until as the sun goes down and our game ends, and Frederick walks up to me.
"Um, Marie? I have a question for you," he says nervously.
"What's up?" I try to ask nonchalantly.
"Will- will you be my girlfriend?" he finishes. In my mind, I immediately answer yes. I liked him for so long, and it would be the best to be his girlfriend! But then I realize that there's a lot of responsibility coming with this relationship. I've liked too many other guys to know that this won't go well, and I really don't want to break Frederick's heart. So with a heavy heart, I turn to him and,
"I'm sorry, but not right now Frederick. Will you wait for me to be ready?" I ask. His face immediately falls, and I feel so bad. But he peers up at me through his thick black hair and answers determinedly.
"Yes Marie, I will wait for you no matter how long it takes!" he says. I smile and loosely hug him before running to my house, exhausted. I slip into bed for the night, and a dreamless sleep follows.
"Marie! Marie! Marie!" A small but heavy object bounces on my chest. I peek one eye open and see that my little sister is excitedly pouncing on me.
"What is it now Zara?" I groggily question.
"You have a visitor!" she squeals, continuing to hop up and down.
"Well get off me!" I yell, attempting to push her to the side. She falls onto the floor but immediately gets up and runs out the door. Quickly I pull on some ripped jeans and a black T-Shirt, run a brush through my hot pink hair, and rush out the door to see who this visitor might be.
"Hey Marie," someone says and I look up to see Princess Delilah with Leila at her side. A smile grows on my lips.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask.
"We're coming to ask you to join us in a search party for Prince Xayn," Leila fills me in.
"Of course! Who else will be going?" I immediately reply.
"Renny and Jade are also in our group, as well as a few castle guards 'for protection.' But we don't need that!" Delilah answers triumphantly.
"When do we leave?" I ask eagerly.
"Tomorrow," Leila says. I do a spit-take.
"Tomorrow?!" I shout incredulously.
"Yes. If we leave any later, who knows were he'll be!" Delilah explains.
"Well okay then. I guess I have to pack. I'll have to bring essentials, and do you think Jade will let me borrow any weapons?" I say. They both laugh. Jade is a bit over-protective of her weapons. "Hey, it's possible, we need them for the mission!"
"Bye Marie! We'll meet in a few hours to go over stuff for the trip!" Leila waves good-bye, and the two leave. I race back to my room, grabbing a bag and packing it with essentials. When I'm done, it's almost over filled, but I manage to zip it closed and bring it along with me to the meeting that we're having for our journey. I'm guessing there will be other search parties. I just hope that someone finds the prince!
