Renny's P.O.V.

The sun shines down on me from its perch climbing the clear blue sky. It's such a beautiful picture, the meadows on the other side of Time River full of playful wild animals and delicate colorful flowers. Time River itself reflects the serene scene and my pale face as well as Lavender, my cat, the only disturbance being my feet dangling in the cool water.

I glance down at the watch drawn on my hand that actually tells time thanks to a spell I cast on it.

"Ah! I'm going to be late, Lavender!" I screech before hopping on my hoverboard. Lavender immediately understands, because I made her my Familiar. That gives us a special connection.

We zoom down the streets and towards the castle. Along the way, I saw Marie and gave her my hoverboard. Once inside the castle, I enter the north tower, the tallest one. It's also the wizard and library tower. Inside the bottom level, I step onto the circular platform in the middle of the room and it reads my mind to bring me to the top floor. As I go higher, the walls are lined with shelves full of books, ancient and new. This tower is constantly magically expanding as new books are added to the shelves. You could literally research about anything here.

Once I reach the floor, I head into my room to check on Prince Whiskers. This floor has five rooms: mine, Benjamin's, my brothers', Benjamin and my lab, and my brothers' lab.

"Mew!" Prince Whiskers utters impatiently, nudging my legs.

"Hey Princey!" I coo, petting his snow white fur. I pour him some more food and he purrs so loud I can here it as I leave the room.

Benjamin's already in the lab. It's a creative room, with bean bags on the floor and drawings on the walls and wooden tables.

"Hey Renny!" he says, smiling brightly, blonde hair flopping on his face.

"Hey!" I reply cheerily before getting to work on the poison I'm making. Suddenly there's a pop! and purple sparkles cover me. I look over at Benjamin, a wide grin on my face.

"Sorry," he apologizes, but he's laughing already. In case you couldn't tell already, we both really like purple. I finish up the poison and hang up my robes. With a wave of the wand I keep in my boot, I create a new hoverboard. I exit the tower and head to another, climbing the steps to Jade's room. She's the assassin here.

I knock in a special way, and her lightly freckled face greets me. Her bright, flaming red hair is pulled into a braid.

"Hiya Jadey!" I greet brightly.

"Don't call me that," she replies fiercely in an annoyed tone. I hand her the poison and she places it on a nearby shelf. Jade grabs her hoverboard and we head out to join the others at the café.
