Hey, Sam here... and this is my special Foxy plushy. Ever wonder what it's like to be 6 and live alone? Don't! It's not a pretty picture and it for sure wont last long!

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to  survive a year by myself. I guess not a lot of kids can do that. Well... I bet none of those kids have seen both their parents dead and their murderer threaten them! All I had that year was limited food, decent water and Foxy.

Foxy was what got me through this dreadful year. He was with me at all times and has never left my sight. On tough nights I would sit in my room, hugging him and talking to him. Of course he would never respond but that's okay. He doesn't need to. Foxy was my only family left.

One day I was reading a story to Foxy but I was stopped when I heard the doorbell chime.

"I wonder who that is, Foxy," I whispered to my plushy.

I picked him up and silently made my way to the front door. Mom told me never to talk or answer the door to strangers. Sorry mom, I'll have to break a rule. I open the door and was greeted with a big man in a black suit. He looked down at me through his sunglasses.

"Excuse me, little child," he started, "Are your parents home?"

It was that question that had me burst into tears. The man stood shocked and kneeled down to my level, gently taking me in his arms.

"Don't cry, please. I think I know what's wrong so you don't have to tell my anything."

His hug was comforting, just like Foxy's.

After a few moments the man let me go and picked me up, walking into the house and closing the door. He went into the living room and placed me on the couch. He sat down afterwards I snuggled my face into the back of Foxy's soft head and the man noticed.

"Is that your toy?" he asked, calmly.

I nodded, lifting my head up a bit.

"This Foxy the Pirate Fox," I said excitedly, "He's my special toy and part of my family."

He gave a slight smile and reached his hand out.

"May I?"

I froze, but hesitantly handed Foxy over to the man. I trusted him not to hurt Foxy. He examined my plushy and pet it and stuff. The man turned him to face himself and looked into his amber eyes.

"He must really care about you, huh?" the man said, "I've been to a place like this before but it was smaller. A working progress."

He gave me back Foxy and I gladly took him.

"I'm sure he'll keep you safe."

I smiled at him.

"Thank you, sir."

The man put up his hand.

"Please, call me Jeremy."

I gave a nod of agreement as Jeremy stood up and took my hand. He lead me outside to his car and opened the door. I got in and so did he. As he was driving he asked,

"Do you know any relatives that we could contact?"

I nodded.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just so you have someone who can take care of you."

When Jeremy stopped the car, I saw a tall building out of the window. He opened the car door and lead me into an office. He sat in a chair so I did as well.

"What are their names?" Jeremy asked me.

I was confused.

"Whose names?"
