I heard the faint ring of an alarm next to me so I slowly woke up. When I did, the beeping got louder so I reached to turn it off. Looking at the clock I saw what time it was... 6am, I guess I managed to wake up with the alarm this time. Since I didn't actually have to be awake yet I got out of bed and picked out some clothes from my dresser; putting them on top. When I did I noticed my toybox out of the corner of my eye. I stared at it for a bit and slowly made my way to it; opening it and looking inside. The first thing I saw was the Puppet toy and remembering about an hour and a half before, I picked him up and carried him to my bed; setting him down on it. I continued to stare at the lifeless, wood figure, still thinking about what happened. I climb onto my bed next to Puppet and lay down on my back. I was really confused as to what he did that night but I had to get past it; I have to remember that this technically isn't real... right?
It's just nightmares... right?
Suddenly the door squeaked open and I saw Grandma in the doorway. She walked into my room and sat at the end of my bed; looking at me. I grabbed Puppet then sat up on my bed. Normally she was at work but I guess she didn't go or got a break.
"Morning dear," she greeted me, "Have a good sleep?"
I decided not to say anything about the night, knowing she wont believe me, so I just said I slept fine.
"That's good; I knew you would be okay. Also, I have a surprise for you Sam."
I was immediately intrigued and I wanted to know what it was. She stood up and, with Puppet in my hand, I followed her down the stairs and into her sewing room. I have a feeling I know what she's giving me and I'm getting a little hesitant. She walked to the desk that held her sewing machine and opened the big, bottom drawer; pulling out the stuffed animal I knew all too well... Foxy. Grandma turned around and handed it towards me to take.
"I managed to make him a new ear," she said, "Only it was impossible to find any red fabric so I went with silver. I hope that's okay; I'm sorry."
I took the fixed plushy out of her hands and looked at the new ear. It was a silver coloured fabric in the same shape as the old one and there were darker fabric lines going across it. I must admit it turned out great and looked really cool. I hugged Foxy and raise my head up to face Grandma.
"Thanks Grandma," I told her, "I love it; it's really cool."
"I'm glad you're happy, Sam. Anyway, let's get you ready for school. Can't keep your friend waiting."
"Friends and, also, could I go to Daniel's after school to play and work on a project? It's for science."
"Sure, just make sure you get the work done and don't just fool around."
I laughed at her last comment.
"Yes Grandma."
I was on the bus, on my way to school, and held Foxy tight in my arms. I decided to bring him to school today, despite the nightmares with him from last night. I also had Puppet in the small pocket of my backpack. Since I was going to Daniel's house after school, I thought that I could bring Foxy and Puppet there to play with. I'm sure he has some stuffed animals and toys like me; maybe even a Bonnie plushy like my Foxy one. As I was looking out the bus window at all the trees moving past, I heard snickering and giggles behind me. Already knowing what they were laughing at, I tried my very best to ignore them. That was until one girl spoke up; probably pointing at me as well.
"Hey look, the Foxy freak is back!"
All the kids that surrounded her started to laugh harder and I tried to shrink in my seat as small as possible, but with no success. The bus ride continued like this right until it reached the school and they all rushed out, not forgetting to point me out as I waited. I looked back out the window and see Daniel and Susie together, probably waiting for me. I finally made it off the hot bus and ran towards my two friends. They both saw me and said hello. Susie noticed Foxy in my arms and pulled at Daniel's black and white stripped shirt.
