We arrive at the hotel and Loki's brainwashed monkeys gripped me tightly on both my arms, dragging me towards the hotel.
"Easy, easy, easy!" I exclaimed. "I'm not gonna run off you can cool it with the death grip!"
They looked back to Loki, their god, for confirmation and he nodded.
They let go of my arms and I breathed a sighed of relief, rubbing my arms where I knew there would be bruises later.
"Thank you," I whispered.
"Don't be quick to rely on my kindness." He threatened.
"Okay then," I muttered, rolling my eyes.
We walked into the hotel and the lady at the front desk didn't even bat an eye when a man in full Norse mythology attire, five men with bright blue eyes and one confused looking teenager walked in and asked for a room with one queen sized bed.
"That's quite the crew you have sir, isn't it a bit early for Halloween though?" She asked and I nodded. That makes sense.
While Loki was getting the room, his zombies crowded around me awkwardly. They just stared at me and it was incredibly awkward, to say the least.
"Um, Loki?" I called. He didn't turn around. "Loki? LOKI!" He whipped around and cracked a grin at the sight of me unable to move an inch because his monkeys were "guarding" me.
"Wipe that grin off your face you dick." I rolled my eyes as he called them off and we marched up to the room.
We walked into the room and he told his "soldiers" to stand guard outside.
"What do you hope to achieve from all of this?" I gestured to the men outside our door. "Brainwashing them?"
He looked at me like I had two heads. "I mean to rule them."
"And you're okay with that?" I asked.
"Well, yes." He smirked to himself.
"How can you be?"
He stared at me for a moment and he looked like he was genuinely considering the question before he turned away and started to head out the door.
"Wait!" I called and he turned around.
"What am I supposed to do here? Just sit around with one or two of your zombies and wait for you to decide whether or not I should die?"
"You're not going to die." He replied automatically.
I was taken aback for a moment as the quickness of his response. "Then what the hell am I doing here?"
"I need to figure out whether or not you can be of use to me. If not I need to keep you here so you won't go running off telling everyone about me."
"It's not like anyone would believe me," I mumbled, sitting down on the bed. "Hey, dad I met a man from Asgard and he plans on ruling all of us! He'd probably assume my mothers death has finally gotten to me."
"Your mother is dead?"
"Yeah, and my dad won't shut up about it and allow me to grieve in peace. It's gotten to the point where I hate going home."
"I despise going home as well." He sat down next to me on the bed.
"So, you're not here just to rule all of us?" I smirked at him and he sighed.
"While, sitting upon a throne has been my birthright-."
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, dear lord."
He smiled. "What about you? Why were you spying on us?"
"I wasn't spying!" I exclaimed.
He gave me a look that was somewhere between amusement and genuine surprise.
"Okay, maybe I was spying but it wasn't intentional. I was curious about a weird blue light which was probably you coming to Earth, and when I saw the people pointing guns at you I kinda freaked out and didn't know what to do."
"So, you decided staying in the room with all the guns was the best plan?"
"Now that I think about it maybe it was a lapse in judgment."
"Maybe?" He laughed.
"Okay, it was a major lapse in judgment, but in my defense-!"
He laughed again, and fell back onto the bed.
I fought back laughing as well, so I could get my explanation in.
"I just worked a long day and I was exhausted mentally, I think a lapse in judgment was to be expected."
"Do you work with that girl who's dating a mannequin?" He frowned at me.
"Oh, my god. Avery is going to kill me." I giggled and he smiled at me. "Yeah, she started dancing with a mannequin and named it Emily."
"I remember." He nodded.
"I'd hope so, I told that story five minutes after you met me. I'd be worried if you didn't remember something like that."
He chuckled. "You're an interesting one-"
"Sophie, Sophie Vaughan." I held out my hand and he just stared at it. "You- You're supposed to- oh, never mind."
One of his zombies knocked on the door and walked into the room. He had a bow and arrow instead of a gun and I cringed when I noticed his robotic movements.
"Sir, we have to go." He told Loki.
"Wait, go? Go where? And what the hell am I supposed to do here?!" I exclaimed.
"I'll visit occasionally. I have business to attend to elsewhere. While I'm gone my soldiers will watch over you."
"That's a kind word for blue eyed slaves." I muttered.
He rolled his eyes, walked over to me, and kissed me on my forehead. "They'll give you anything you ask for, just say the word."
"Fine." I crossed my arms and refused to look him in the eyes.
"Make sure she stays alive." He told the man with the bow and arrow before he waved goodbye and walked out with one of the men.
I lied back on the bed and sighed. "Well, what the hell do I do now?"
I decided to turn on the TV and watch Doctor Who.
"I bet Clara would know what to do if she met Loki," I whispered to myself as I watched Clara outsmart an alien version of herself.
Eventually, I started to get hungry and thought about what Loki said. I wouldn't be abusing them if I asked them to get food for me as well as them, would I?
I walked over to the door and tried to open it in vain. Of course, he locked the door from the outside.
I knocked on the door a couple times and one of them opened the door.
"Oh, hello, um, what's your name?" I asked, trying my best not to treat them how Loki treated them.
"Clint, ma'am, Clint Barton."
"Well, Clint, what do you say we get some food?"
"You're not allowed to leave the hotel room ma'am."
"But you are. I'm sure there's another dude wandering around here somewhere. Why don't you get good for the two of us and bring it back here?"
He thought for a moment and I knew he was thinking of what Loki would tell him to do.
"Come on! Loki wouldn't want me starving to death, would he? Did he not tell you to make sure I stayed alive? If I starve to death that wouldn't exactly be following his orders now would it?"
He hesitated for a split second, but nodded and walked down the stairs.
I rolled my eyes and collapsed back onto the bed. That only took forever.
