I bursted up in bed, sitting up right, and waking Jack in the process. I was breathing hard and hugged him tightly, as I usually do after having one of those nightmares, careful not to bump his cast. I felt him wrap his thin arms around me tightly.

"We need to take care of this problem quickly, those nightmares are eating you alive," He sighed, his voice full of concern. I felt his lips kiss the top of my head, the hair resting upon it lightly slick with sweat, but he didn't seem to care. "You poor thing, you were sweating horribly."

"Jack, Felix and I shared a dream," I told him, Felix stepping into the room just as the words spilled out of my mouth. He looked distressed and immediately jumped onto our bed and hugged both Jack and I.

"I had the freakiest dream," He murmured and I patted his back.

"I know, I was there," I reminded him and he pulled away and got off the bed, pacing around the room nervously.

"Shit, that was real? Shit, shit, shit," He muttered and continued pacing around the room, running a hand through his hair and groaning every now and then.

"Calm down, Fe," Jack tried, but was ignored. He turned to me with a huge frown across his face. "What happened?"

"We had a nightmare - but we were both consciously in it - Eli pulled some shit," I explained briefly and his face seemed to fall along with the smile he usually always wears.

"I-I believe you, of course, it's just... Damn, it's crazy," He sighed and I welcomed him into my arms, which he practically fell into and groaned, "I feel like I'm going to lose my mind by the time all of this is over. What does he even want? He wants me dead, right? Why am I still here?"

"Because I'm not going to let anything happen to you and I'm not letting Eli get his stupid, ghost hands on you," I chuckled and gave him a small squeeze.

"I think we need to talk to him," Felix stopped and looked at us.

"Wait, what?" Jack asked, pulling away from me to get a better glance at Felix, to see if he was being serious or not. "You want to talk to Eli? We talked to him with a psychic before you came here and I-I don't know. We wanted to take you with to see her-"

"No, no, no. We don't need a psychic, we just need a spirit board," He smiled softly and Jack's eyes widened.

"An Ouija Board?! You want to mess with an Ouija Board?! Can't those things like open some sort of portal into the spirit world and release them? What if Eli tries to kill me?" Jack gasped and Felix grabbed ahold of his hand, making the ping in my stomach set off angrily, causing me to wince and double over in pain.

"Mark, are you okay?" Felix asked, letting go of Jack's hand, the ping going away. I shook my head and pulled Jack onto my lap, holding him tightly. "Oh... Th-The ping?"

"Yeah," I sighed and thought over Felix's proposal. "Do you think... Do you think that we can talk to the spirit inside of me with the Ouija Board?"

"That's an idea... Hmm... Maybe," Jack thought about it, then Felix intervened.

"No, wait, Jack had a point. We can't risk Eli trying to hurt him - or that whatever spirit in you that'll probably try to kill all of us," He sighed. "Fuck, we shouldn't be this comfortable talking about death, but we need to do something."

"Look... You guys can go out and get the board, I'll post videos on all of our channels and tend to Chica," Jack decided and I slowly nodded, letting Jack stand back up and kiss my cheek, before leaving the room. I sighed, making eye contact with Felix.

"I don't think this is going to end well," Felix admitted and I shrugged.

"Me either, but we have to try. I don't know what else to do and something needs to be done or else we'll be fucked up by these nightmares until the day Jack dies!" I exclaimed, tears coming into my eyes that I refused to scare Jack with when he was in the room. "I'm terrified, Fe. I don't want Jack to get hurt, I'm so worried. I can't lose him."

"You won't, Mark, you don't need to worry. I'll be here and I'll do everything I can to keep you guys together," He stepped over to me and patted my arm softly. "Everything will be okay, we just need to find some answers and, hopefully, the Ouija Board will help."

"Do you really think it will?" I asked, doubt consuming me as I couldn't see an end to this awful situation we were all stuck in.

"Yeah, I mean, why wouldn't it? We can ask our questions, talk with whoever, and try and sort everything out. We'll use it at Witching Hour. I know that's cliché, but maybe it is the right time to do it."

"Okay. We better get going, I don't want to leave Jack alone here for too long," I sighed and he nodded as I stood up, not bothering to even attempt changing out of my sleep wear, other than tugging on a pair of pajama pants.

As we were heading out, we stepped into the living room. Jack was sitting in front of the fireplace, a sad look on his face as he pet Chica softly. He had his items for s'mores out beside him, but was making no effort to make himself one. It broke my heart to see him that way. I sat down next to him and kissed his cheek, wrapping an arm around him.

"Don't do anything you'll regret, sweetheart. We'll be back very soon, you make yourself a s'more, drink some coffee, and play with Chica, okay?" I asked, rubbing his back gently. He nodded and hugged me tightly, burying his face into my chest adorably.

"Kisses?" He asked in a small voice after I pulled away.

"Kisses," I confirmed and kissed him softly before following Felix out the door.
