"What're you carving?" Jack asked me as he was taking the guts out of his pumpkin. I had already taken mine out and scrapped the insides, clearing it perfectly, and working on a design.

"You'll see," I smiled and continued carving, making sure Jack couldn't see what I was making. "What about you? What're you going to do?"

"Well, first I'm going to throw these guts at you for not telling me what you're doing, then I think I'm going to make a kitty! Like with little ears, whiskers and all that," He smiled, pulling out more of the insides of the pumpkin and setting a fistful of it down on the newspaper we laid out on the table.

"Have you been watching Dan and Phil again?" I laughed, remembering when I walked in on him binge watching their videos on YouTube with Chica a couple months ago.

"Maybe... But I really just can't do much because of my arm. This cast is too thick," He sighed, but grinned and continued scrapping, while I put my focus back into the pumpkin, wanting it to be perfect.

After a while of carving, I sighed deeply, as mine was taking forever. It'd be worth it, but Jack had already finished and was cleaning up a bit, occasionally trying to lean over to see mine, but I'd tilt it away and shake my head. Chica was trying to eat some of the pumpkin guts that fell on the floor, but it was too slippery for her to eat it successfully. (A/N: Who else calls it 'pumpkin guts' or is it just around where I live? XD)

"I love you!" Jack squealed and threw himself at me, hugging me tightly and kissing me, before quickly tearing away and looking at my pumpkin. "Oh my gosh, Mark!"

"You were supposed to wait! Goddamn it," I laughed nevertheless - at least I got a hug and a kiss in exchange for my surprise being ruined.

"How did you do this without using a picture or anything? Is my Markimoo artsy?" He raised his eyebrows and hugged me again, though getting some pumpkin on his shirt, considering my hands were still covered.

"You were sitting pretty still most of the time, it wasn't too hard. It's not that great, it's just an outline," I smiled as he shifted, so he was sitting on my lap.

"It's amazing. I can't believe you did this."

"You could say I made a... JACK-o-lantern," I winked, gesturing to the pumpkin.

"You ruined it," He sighed, shaking his head, but was still smiling. I had carved an outline of Jack carving his pumpkin and cut out 'Jack-o-lantern' in the bottom. "You're still sweet though."

"Only trying to compare to you, sweetheart," I grinned and decided my pumpkin looked good enough. "Come on, let's go set these outside. I'll take the pumpkins, you go get the candles and a lighter."

"Okay!" He smiled and quickly left the room to find them, while I took our pumpkins outside and set them on the stoop, Chica trailing behind me. He quickly came back out and I stuck the candles in the pumpkins after lighting them. Jack had also brought a blanket and laid it in front of the stoop. He sat down on it with Chica, inviting me to sit next to him. "I still can't believe you carved my face on a pumpkin."

"You didn't make a s'more today," I remembered with a frown. He pulled his phone from his pocket briefly.

"There's still time. Do you want one after we're done here?" He asked, giving me a small smile and scooting closer to me, allowing my arms to wrap around him.

"Sure, I'll figure out which videos should be uploaded tomorrow and maybe start a quick update explaining Felix is coming while you do that... And show them our pumpkins," I grinned and he nodded.

"And Chica will trail us around the whole time," He giggled a bit and ruffled up her fur, sighing contently. "I love you guys and our little family. I just wish we weren't stuck in whatever this situation even is. Like, ghosts? When did we get stuck in Supernatural?"
