Jordans POV September 26th

The week went by quicker than it should have. Maybe because schools gotten a tiny bit better. Between not having to deal with Kenzie, practicing Everything Has Changed with Ericka, and the teachers being a little bit easier on us, this week was nice. It was only Thursday, though. I still had a day and a half left to get through. Walking into the guitar room, I saw Ericka sitting in her usual seat with the chords to Everything Has Changed on her lap. I took my seat to her left, and pulled out my copy of the song.

"Hey." I greeted her. Ericka turned around and smiled at me. She then stopped playing and opened her mouth to speak.

"Hey there. Hows the piece coming along for you?" she asked me.

"Pretty good. It's a easy piece, so I doubt we'll have a problem." I said. "Are you okay to play in front of the crowd?" she then gave me an innocent grin, and looked me in the eyes. "If you're performing beside me, I'm okay."

That was it. I smiled back at her, wishing that she'd possibily feel the same way about me. A month into our friendship, and I was truly falling for Ericka Adamec. Nothing was stopping my fall, and I didn't want to stop, either.

"Alright, class! Announcement." Mr. Chambers called for our attention. Once the class was paying attention to him, he began to speak. "We'll be performing our pieces tomorrow. Hopefully, you know the pieces well." he then passed around another piece. Carol of the Bells, a Ukrainian bell song. I glanced over at Ericka's piece to see that she had the part 2, which harmonized with my part 1. Ericka looked satisfied with her part, unlike the part she had on the previous song, Volta.

"Alright, here's how each of your parts should sound." Mr. Chambers said, grabbing his guitar and playing each part the was assigned. Once we had an idea on how it would sound, we all looked over our piece.

"Now, play section A." he commanded. At his word, we all began to pluck at the strings. The song started slow, then got quicker. We all seized playing once we got to the end of section A. Mr. Chambers called up all the part 3 people up to go over the piece, giving us time to practice, talk, anything.

"Hey, do you want to practice the piece after school?" I asked Ericka. The only time we practiced was in class, maybe practicing outside of class would be a good idea.

"Uhh, I guess. Extra practice is always good. Where do you want to go?"

"My place. I have an extra guitar somewhere in the house." I told her. Once the bell rung, we packed up the guitars and walked out of the room to the commons.

"What time should I be there by?" she asked me. I thought about the time for a moment, before realizing that I could just drive her after school.

"I'll meet you at your locker after school, I'll drive."

Ericka's POV

I walked out if my tenth period class, and a few feet to my locker to find Jordan leaning against it. I rushed over to him and gave him a quick hug. I mean, I can do that, right? Friends can hug I think. I don't have a lot of guy friends, but I usually hug my girl friends. After a two second hug, I opened up my locker and grabbed my geometry notebook and my biology binder, and Jordan and I took off to go to his car. For some reason, we passed both the Senior and Junior parking lot, and started walking towards the bagel shop a block away. I gave him a funny look. He probably didn't get his parking thing from the school for the fall. He was probably parking near the bagel place until he got permission to park in the Junior lot. We finally reached the car after walking a block. I sat in the passenger seat as usual, and Jordan drove down a few streets, making a few turns here and there. We reached his house only three minutes later.
