Ericka's POV; September 9th

I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing, the familiar strumming of a guitar that had gotten annoying to listen to after a good amount of time. Oh God, school. I've been panicing all week over it. My Freshman year was horrible, and I have no idea if I can perservere my Sophomore year. I stayed up until one freaking out, and somehow I'm wide awake with only five hours of sleep. Sighing, I got out from underneath the covers to get ready for a long, horrendous day. I headed over to my bathroom, quickly grabbing my toothbrush and toothpaste. After a minute or so, I rinsed out my mouth and washed my face, and wella! I was finished. I went back into my room to get dressed. I had layed out my favorite outfit, just to make my day somewhat better. It was a black longsleeve crop top with white polka dots, and a pair of light blue ripped high-waisted shorts. I liked the outfit because I wore it when I made some of the greatest memories over the summer. I hung out with my best friend Lorraine a lot. We don't go to the same school, though. She goes to Cityside High, I, sadly attend Ridge High School. I was dying to transfer to Cityside. It was in the neighboring town, and my parents own a restaurant in Cityside. I had more friends in Cityside than I ever would in Ridge. I think I'd be happier if I transferred to Cityside, too. I'm not really happy in Ridge. I'm fine with my social status, but I kind of hate feeling like I'm being stared at every time I get an answer wrong in class. I'm not smart. Ridge isn't known for having the smartest kids, but everyone has a better advantage over me when it comes to school.

After I finished my thoughts, I went downstairs to eat my breakfast. My mom greeted me with a smile, gave me my breakfast and went back upstairs to sleep. I would be eating alone this morning, and I was completely fine with that. I ate the eggs and pita bread quickly, so I could catch my bus. Once my neck was gone, I grabbed my house keys and walked out the door to endure my first day of my sophomore year.

Jordan's POV

"See you later, Mom!" I said, hugging my Mom and walking out the door. I lived close to my school, so I could walk, which meant more sleep. Once the school started giving out the parking passes, I would be able to drive to school and avoid almost freezing to death coming to school. Within ten minutes, I was walking through the front doors of Ridge High School. Walking through the halls, I met up with a few friends before homeroom started.

"How was your summer, Jordan?" Darren asked me. I didn't see Darren all summer. Mainly because I was caught up with tennis.

"Alright. It was like any other summer." I replied. It wasn't like I did anything extravagant.

Suddenly, someone bumped into me. It was a girl. I couldn't see her face, because she was looking down at the floor.

"You okay?" I asked. She finally looked up at me.

"S-sorry." and with that, she ran off. I didn't get the chance to tell her it was alright. She was probably a freshman who didn't know how to maneuver through the halls yet.

The warning bell rang, and I went into my homeroom. We received a welcome back speech and our schedules. I asked saw mine online. I was lucky enough to get the electives I wanted. Guitar and basic foods. The bell for first period rang. My day was just beginning.
