Ericka's POV September 10th.

I walked through the hallways, dreading the fact that it was only Tuesday, and I'd have to dea with this schol for another three days before getting or meanger two day break, commnly known as a weekend. Literaly, every time someone passed by me, I just thought, "nope.", "no.", "why.", "the struggle is real.". I wasn't a morning person, really. Mornings were when I'd mentally do this kind of stuff, and then scurry away when I made contect with a human. I got better as the day went on.

I finally got to homeroom, which was completely empty since everyone liked to roam the halls. I pulled out the homework I didn't complete last night, writing down incomplete sentences so I could finish quicker. Once I finished scribbling the answers, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram. Nothing but a few pictures of cats and Catching Fire stills. Just the usual of what was on my feed. Time passed, and more students cme into the room. I didn't talk to anyone in homeroom. Mainly because some were popular and others I wasn't friends with anymore. For example, Mallery Clark. She's really a bitch, if you ask me. She's the kind of girl who will make you wait an hour for her and then ditch you for other people. She chews gum every single morning with her mouth wide open, and makes the worst duckface possible. She also thinks she's friends with everyone. We were friends for a good few months, before I got tired of her stepping all over me. I can handle a lot of pain and pressure. But when it gets to a certain point, I just stop trying.

The attendance was taken, and we then listened to the morning announcements. Nothing important, there as just a bunch of advertisements to join the clubs in the school. I wasn't in any clubs. I had a hard time being social, joining a club would make me realy anxious. Plus, I didn't like having to stay after school or come in early. I like sleeping, a lot. I also like going home after a bad day and eating Poptarts to feel a little bit better. Especially after those crap days when everybody treats you like a nobody and the teachers pressure you into answering their stupid questions.

The bell rang, and everyone left for their first period class. I had English, with Ms. Williams. She was really clueless, and all day yesterday, she complained about her ADD and her back pain. We didn't even get the chance to do any work. Well, that's technically a good thing, but it really put me behind other students. Soon, class began, and Ms. Willams was still playing around with her laptop to get the attendance in.

"Sorry, class. My laptop is acting up." she apologized. "They really need to get me a new laptop."

Ms. Williams fiddled around with her laptop for another ten minutes until class began. Cheers to Tuesday's.

Jordan's POV

I walked into the guitar room. As usual, I was the first one in the room. Mainly because everyone wandered around the hallways and my class was right across from the guitar room.

Mr. Chambers greeted me, and I grabbed a guitar. I practiced the melody to the assigned piece once more, until I saw Ericka walk in. She sat down next to me and pulled out the guitar.

"Did you practice?" I asked her. She nodded.

"I had my friend listen to me play. She said it was good." she paused. "Did you?"

"Yeah, after tennis practice."

"Oh, you play tennis?" she asked. Her dimples were showing.

"Indeed I do." I confirmed.

"Cool, my friend is on the girls tennis team." I wondered which friend of hers would be on the tennis team. She was about to tell me who, when Mr. Chambers began class. Today, we weren't doing partner work. We were learning parts to this piece titled 'Volta'. Mr. Chambers gave me part one. I glanced over at Ericka's part, and she had part four. She looked unimpressed with the part she received. It was honestly a really easy part that anyone could play. I'd be really upset if I got that part.

We practiced our pieces until the end of class. I waited for Ericka. I still wanted to know who that friend of hers was. It was probably Gabby, I could imagine them hanging out.

"So who's that friend of yours on the team?"

"Oh, yeah. Her name is Kenzie."

Did anyone expect that? Nyahaha plot twists. Thanks for reading!
