Chapter 19: Hope, Forward
Jay POV
January 29th
"Bey, are you ready?" I asked her.
"Almost." she said back.
Beyoncé and I are really working on our relationship. I can tell she's trying to trust me again, she doesn't fully trust me but I'm glad she'd willing to try.
"I'm ready now." she said while putting on her last earring.
We're on the way to see our marriage counselor for the last time.
"Tell me what's been going on." Mrs. Davidson asked.
"Everything is going great, I can tell he's trying and I'm willing to work with him." Beyoncé said.
"What has he been doing?" she asked.
"He helps around the house, he buys me flowers. The most important thing he does is show me love, and I appreciate him for that."
"That's great, we're making progress. The first session was a mess and I'm glad that you two are working things out." Mrs. Davidson said.
"Shawn explain to me what you have been feeling." she asked me.
"I feel like she's opening up to me more and that we're moving forward from out past." I said.
"Well that's great. I'm so glad you guys are working things out." she said.
We just got back home from our last counseling.
"Jay can we talk?" Bey asked.
"About?"
"Us."
"Aight."
"I want you to know I'm not mad at you, just disappointed." she said.
"I know, I'm disappointed in myself." I said truthfully.
"Things aren't going to be like this forever, sleeping in different rooms, barely speaking to each other. I'm just trying to get through this, dealing with this is hard. It's not hard as it may seem but it is." she said.
"Take all the time you need, I'm not rushing you."
"I haven't given up on us, I still have hope." she said.
"I have hope too."
"Well that's all I have to talk about. I love you Shawn." she said.
"I love you too Beyoncé." I said then we shared a hug.
We're moving forward
