"Thank you for joining the USS Enterprise (Y/N). We surely needed another navigator, not saying that Chekov isn't a good navigator, but he gets loaded with a lot of work." Kirk started, guiding you through the halls of what would be your new place of work, where you will spend five years in space, exploring new planets and civilizations, or that is what they had told you.

What were you doing currently? Well, Jim was going to introduce you to the crew of the Enterprise, your new coworker in between them. As you both stepped in the elevator, your new Captain turned to you. "How has your experience in the starfleet been so far?" He asked you politely.

You cleared your throat as you prepared your response, not wanting to sound nervous at all. "It has been good, I have learned a lot of things about space, I am exited to go out of Earth and explore." You replied enthusiastically, tugging down the way too short dress the starfleet gave you to use.

That is the thing you didn't understand, why the heck did the starfleet make the female uniforms so short? The creator surely was a pervert... It just reached below your butt for some centimeters but that's it!

You snapped back to reality, watching as Jim walked in the control room, all the crew standing up. You just stayed by the door, not knowing if you should stand besides him or not. "Captain on ze bridge!" A voice, what seemed to be Russian broke the silence, Jim smiling at a young looking male.

As you turned around, you couldn't help but take in a sharp breath as you admired the young Russian in front of you. You mentally sighed in relief, at least there was someone who seemed the same age as you.

"Thanks Chekov, but I have told you to call me Jim or Kirk" He replied with a smile, the young male, whose name now was Chekov nodded and sat back down together with the rest of the crew. You stood there awkwardly, your arms behind your back.

Jim seemed to remember there was a new member as he turned to you and motioned for you to go to him. He whistled, catching everyone's attention immediately "Attention crew, we have a new member in the Enterprise. Why don't you introduce yourself (Y/N)?" Jim asked you as he gently pushed you forward a bit.

You smiled sheepishly and waved shyly at the expecting faces. "Hi... My name is (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N) and I am the new Navigator of the ship." You spoke, watching as the crew nodded their heads in recognition, one by one stepping to you to introduce themselves to you.

First came what you recognized as a Vulcan, who had his arms behind his back and stood up in a straight posture. "First Commander Spock, it is pleasant to meet you" He said neutrally with a nod as he went back to his place.

You smiled politely as you looked behind him, seeing Chekov approaching you with a smile as he offered you a hand to shake "Wilcom to ze Enterprise! My name is Pavel Chekov, but ze crew calls me Chekov!" He said enthusiastically as you shook his hand and offered him a genuine smile.

"Nice to meet you Pavel, are you by chance my coworker in Navigation?" You asked him, seeing his starfleet badge.

He nodded, his eyes bright with excitement "Zat is correct (Y/N)! I am quite excited to start workeng wiz you"

You couldn't help but smile like an idiot, that boy... he just gave off a really cheery vibe, and you knew you would get along really well with him in the future.

As you took your seat besides him, looking at the high tech controls in front of you, you wondered how life would be in space.

---

Everyone rushed around, Spock seeming distressed as he saw how little his planet had before it was sucked inside the black hole created by the red matter. You quickly pressed buttons, Chekov seeming nervous as he was acting Captain, responding the questions from the crew quickly.

There was a terrible problem.

Spock had gone off to Vulcan, saying he had to save the elders so Vulcan culture wouldn't be lost. You couldn't help but feel a bit of pity as he mentioned his mother was along in the group. As he was transported down there, you glanced at Chekov who watched the events intently.

"I can't get them! They are moving too fast!" One of the woman in charge of the transporting platform called through the intercom in distress, making Chekov suddenly stand up, running to the door as he bumped into you, making you fall down.

"I'm zo sorrey (Y/N)! But I can do zat! I can do zat! I can do zat!" He kept repeating as he ran through the halls, you following behind to see what he was planning to do. "I can do zat I can do zat!" He said as he arrived in the platform and told the woman.

"Let me take ze control!" He said nervously, the woman quickly nodded as she moved off. Chekov sat down, quickly pressing buttons as he tried to hold the target on Spock's mother, which seemed to be close to the surface. (Let's pretend Spock's mother didn't die).

Chekov's eyes widened as he pressed a last button, all of the elders, including Spock's mother transporting in the ship. You laughed happily and jumped up and down, hugging Chekov tightly. "You did it Pavel!" You said, soon blushing seeing how close the both of you were, which seemed to affect him too as he had a really flustered face.

You pulled away and rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly. "S..sorry" You apologized, only to be received by another warm hug from the young Russian.
