Alison's POV

I was running around in the woods. But here's the crazy part: This wasn't even in my control!

I could feel Nathan compelling me to do it. I didn't want to, I had tried everything in my power. But his compelling was getting stronger and stronger until I couldn't take it. My feet just went.

What made me stop in my tracks was Nathan yelling out in pain. It was so loud that I could hear it from where I was.

Ali. I could hear his raspy voice in my head. I didn't know that telepathy was a power.

Are you okay? I thought, trying to reach his mind.

Riley stabbed me. Come quick. I could hear him struggling to get words out.

He didn't have to tell me twice. I ran in the direction I came from and soon found Nathan laying in the middle of the road.

"Oh my god." I got down on a knee next to him.

"Sh-she stabbed me." He moved his hand to reveal a large gash going from the side of his body down to his abdomen. This was way more than just a flesh wound. He looked badly hurt.

"I-I don't know what to do." I was in a panic.

"Since i'm already dead, I'm not going to die from this. But you should get me cleaned up because this really hurts and i'm really bloody." He pointed.

I didn't know what to do, so I decided to take him to the first place I could think of.

My flat.

I slowly picked him up. He cried out in pain as I put pressure on his wound from holding him.

"I'm sorry!" I said as I got a grip on his and I sprinted home.

-

I kicked the door open with my foot and laid Nathan down on the floor. I lifted his shirt up to reveal the wound.

I saw Vania fly down the stairs in confusion. "What happened to him?!" She exclaimed, pointing at his wound.

"He was stabbed by Riley." I muttered, getting up and getting towel.

She went over to him and looked him over. "Is there anything you can do to not make this hurt?" Nathan breathed.

"I'm not sure." She looked a little scared.

I brought the wet towel back over to him and stuck it over his wound to stop the bleeding. His breathing was slowing down as I guess, the towel was helping.

I'm just glad that he isn't human. Because had he been human, he would have died already from blood loss.

I pulled the towel away from his wound and it wasn't bloody anymore. And oddly, neither was the towel.

But I didn't say anything.

Nathan sat up. "Are you okay?" I asked as I sat on the couch.

He nodded. "I thought you killed Riley." Vania spoke up.

"So did I. But see, here's what I realized. Riley is 600 years old. That old bat has probably died and came back to life a trillion times over. For all we know, I did in fact kill her. She just came back to life." I shrugged.

"You do have a point." She said.

"I just wish that I could kill her myself. And that she couldn't come back to life."

"No you don't." Nathan stood up and sat by me.

"Why?"

"Without Riley, the entire High Council will fall apart. Meaning that Vampires will run around and nothing will be right. We will be exposed." He replied.
