Alison's POV

I woke up this morning with a huge headache. It was killing me. I went weak for a moment. I look over in my bed, to find Nathan's eyes closed, still asleep. I go into the bathroom to take an aspirin. When I go into the medicine cabinet, something on my neck catches my eye. They're two bite marks. But, when did I get bit by something? I took a closer look at the bites. They were deep, so they had to hurt when I got them. But I don't remember ever getting bitten by anything. I touched the bites, and they hurt a bit. I took my aspirin, and went downstairs to get a glass of water. I drank it quickly. I soon saw Nathan come down the stairs. "Morning Ali." He smiled. "Hey." I said. "Take a look at these bites. Do they look like something?" I showed my neck to him.

Nathan's POV

I remember every single thing that happened last night. I remember biting her. I remember turning her. And I remember making her not remember. "Take a look at these bites. Do they look like something?" She showed me her neck. I eyed her bites. I would have to lie to her. Again.

At least until I can get her alone and break it to her. But not now. I'm fairly certain Vania is in the house and if I said or did anything Vampire-related to Alison, Vania would find out about it. "No, they don't look like anything. Probably a bug." I shrugged. "You sure? They look like something." She put her hand over her bites. "No, I don't think it's anything." I said. "Okay." She grabbed a brownie. She put it in her mouth. I studied her to see what she would do. The first symptom of a Vampire is that you can't eat human food. But it varies on how quick it takes for you to not be able to eat. Sometimes rather quickly, other times, longer. She put it in her mouth and...she hated it! She spit it out on contact. "Oh my god, what the fuck! It tastes like dirt!"

She rinsed her mouth with water. Her transformation is happening quicker than I thought. She already can't eat human food, I'm thinking. "What? Why? Just last night they were good." I tired to sound like I had no clue what made her spit that out, although I knew completely. "I don't know, they just taste awful now." She shook her head. I didn't say anything. Her transformation is happening quickly. For me, it was first the human food. Then I found I couldn't go out in the sunlight without sunscreen. Then it was my first kill, and the craving for blood. But Alison's is happening quickly. Quicker than mine, actually. That's pretty astonishing, considering I turned her only last night. It took me a week for my transformation to finish. At Ali's rate, she's be a full powered Vampire in less than a week. I should warn her about some of those. How she'll get her hearing, is that she'll hear a high pitched noise, then when it stops, her hearing will be much sharper. The high pitched noise is, by far, the worst part of getting the powers. It was for me. How she's going to start craving blood, that's hard to explain. She'll need my help for that one. Then there's mind reading. She'll know when that's ready. The first kill for a Vampire is always the most bloody, and the most tasteful. I just hope she can see the good in this. But this also means....Adam. He's gonna fuck this up. He's going to try to do something to her. And that's not going to happen. I won't let it. Vania then came down the stairs. "Hey, I didn't realize you were still here." She said to me. "I stayed the night." I nodded. She gave me a look, and I smirked back. "I didn't know that you were still here. I thought you went to go hunt." Alison said. "No, I'm heading out now though." Vania said. I eyed her things. "Are you going alone?" Ali asked.

"No, I'm going with some people. You know, there have been more Vampire sitings in the daytime now. I wonder why." Vania eyed me when she said that. I gave her an odd look, like it was weird that Vampires have been spotted in the daylight. It was odd, but I wasn't about to show interest. "Oh really? Wow." Alison said, not really sounding interested at all. "Yeah, but, I'll see you later." Vania said and left. At least now I can break the news to Alison.
