One person can change everything

Chapter 16

Mateo’s POV:

She turned around slowly, probably a little scared to find someone behind her in a cabin she just had cleaned. But I had to come here. I should have come to the store before, but I was to shy to do it.

But I had to do it, so now I’m standing here and trying not to chicken out again.

“Hi”, I said with a little trembling voice. ‘Okay, take it easy now. You can do this. You have done this many times before.’ I thought to myself. ‘Yeah, why is it so much harder now then before?’. I have gone out with a lot of girls before, and it wasn’t so hard then. ‘Maybe it has something to do about that I actually really like this girl?’ She is so sweet and nice.

“Hey, you scared me”, she said, sounding a lot more calmer then me, but she let out one of those pretty shy smiles in the end and looked down on her feets. Probably remember that time yesterday.

“Sorry for scaring you”, I said and smile to her when she looked up at me again.  “I didn’t mean to, I just had to talk to you.”

Her face turned in to a curious expression. I took a deep breath before continue talking.

“About that what happened yesterday”, I said and scratched my neck. I didn’t have a hoody or something on now. I wanted her to see my whole face what I told her.

“You don’t need to apologize or something, it’s okay.” She said and continued to smile shyly. “And you didn’t hade to do it because you was sorry for me not being kissed before”, she continued a little more unsure and looked back down on her feets. Like they were the most interesting things in the whole world.

‘Oh no, she thought that I kissed her just because I was sorry for her.’ I stepped a bit closer to her and lifted her head up so she was looking at me.

“I didn’t kiss you because I was sorry for you”, I said in a low voice, but high enough for her to hear. I smiled a shy smile and I saw her eyes filled with hope and happiness. That expression in her eyes made my whole body fill with warmth and a new type of strength that I never had felt before. I took a deep breath before I continued.

“Actually, I really like you, you are the nicest, sweetest and most wonderful person I have ever met. You didn’t freaked out when you found out who I was and you hold my secret safe.” I took a small breath and continued. “I have the best time with you and you treated me just like a normal person. So I just want to say thank you for being a so good and kind person.”

I looked at her while she took the whole thing in. And while she did that I could see the happiness rise in her eyes and her smile widened to a big happy smile that fill her whole face. I smiled back at her and gave her a big hug. She hugged me back and I just wanted to stand there hugging her for ever. 

“I like you too”, she murmured into my neck. Her warm breath tickled my skin and made my smile widen. I pulled her a little away from me to look her in the eyes. She looked at me too and I could se a red colour forming in her cheeks.

At that moment I couldn’t control myself. It was something with the beautiful girl in front of me that made my whole body weak and my mind in a total mess. Before I knew it my lips pressed against hers and my hands found their way around her waist. Pulling her closer to me.

My mind was so messed up that I didn’t recognized that she kissed me back. I smiled as her arms found their way around my neck and her fingers tangled in my hair. To be someone that hadn’t kissed anyone before, she was pretty good.

I pulled away out of breath and just stood there leaning my forehead against her. We both breather heavily and I saw her cute smile widened even more.

“Wow”, I finally let out while taking another deep breath, trying to calm down.

“Yeah, wow”, she said too and smiled shyly. I let out a small giggle of happiness and she did too. I hugged her tight ones more and she hugged back. I really loved that hug.

“Be mine?”, I murmured in her ear while kissing her cheek. Pulling away a little to look in her beautiful eyes. Her eyes was filled with happiness and widened a little when my question sank in. She nodded a yes and smiled wide to me. Showing her perfect white teeth. My heart skipped a beat of happiness and I kissed her again.

After a while we pulled away and just stood there smiling to each other.

“Um, I have to get this work done”, she said and giggled a little while kissing my cheek and picked up her stuffs again heading to the door. I followed her outside and walked up beside her.

“So, wanna come over to my cabin after work?”, I asked smiling at her. “Just to talk”.

“I can’t, my parent’s would start wondering where I am if I don’t come home to lunch.”

“Oh, right. So talk to you when you come down again then?”, I asked. Smiling at her. She looks at me and smiles while nodding a yes.

“Okay, see you then babe”, I said while kissing her on the cheek and start walking to my cabin. A big smile on my face. I’m so happy right now, she is finally min.
