Chapter 21

Laya’s POV:

My alarm clock went of at 7:30 and I quickly turned it of, not wanting to wake up Janelle. I went out of bed as quiet I could and walked over to the bathroom. I gott ready as quiet as I could and gott dressed.

Then I walked down to the kitchen and made some breakfast. I went outside with my toast and ate it while walking down to the camping.

It was really early so I knew that Mateo wouldn’t be outside by now. So I walked to his cabin, wanting to talk to him before I had to open the store and the possibility for Janelle to show up and ruin everything.

I knocked some times on the door and not long after I heard some footsteps coming closer to the door.

My jaw dropped at the sight in front of me. There inside the cabin stood a shirtless boy with messy hair and a sleepy, yet beautiful face. I couldn’t stop staring before I heard a light laughing above me. I looked up and met his eyes. He smirked to me and laughed a little more.

“Like what you see”, he asked with still a little laugh in his voice. I looked down on my feat, blushing a little. But I picked myself together and looked back up at him, smiling a little.

“Can’t complain”, I said. Feeling the heat spreading in my face. But I didn’t want to look down and hide my blush.

He smiled at me and told me to come inside. While I went to sit on the couch he went back in to his room and took on some new clothes. (Mateo and Laya's clothes) ->

Then he came back and sat down beside me. Since he just had on a plane t-shirt I could still se his abs through it. He looked so good. Whatever he were dressed in, he still looked good. I just sat there, staring on him. He smiled at me and then broke the silence with his beautiful voice.

“So, something you want to talk about since you waked me up this early”, he said, laughing a little.

“Yeah”, I started, taking a deep breath before continued.

“You know the girl that came up to me right after you walked away yesterday, on the pier?”

“Yeah I remember her, what about her?”

“She is my best friend and she saw us kissing, so now she want to know who you are and she is probably coming down soon to talk to you” I finished and looked at him. Hoping he doesn’t get mad or anything.

Bur he just chuckled, probably by my worried expression that turned quiet confused of his laughter.

“What is so funny?”, I asked and looked even more confused at him.

“Nothing, but your friend seems to be a really ‘I-want-to-know-everything’ kind of person”, I laughed a little with him and nodded.

“Yeah she is, specially when it comes to who I like and things like that”. I blushed a little and smiled at him.

“So, what do we do when she comes?” He asked after we stopped laughing.

“I don’t know, but she can’t figure out who you are, she would freak out” I laughed a little of the thought of Janelle actually figure out who I was dating. She would have gone crazy.

“Yeah, so what are we going to do then?”

“You have to cover your face and hope she won’t start asking a lot about that, and you have to tell her a face name”

“Then I’m gonna act just the same way I did the first time I met you” He smiled and winked a little to me.

“Yeah, do that, I newer figured out who you where before I heard you singing from the cabin”. I smile a little of the taught and he did the same. Probably thinking back on that time. Suddenly my phone start to ring and I took it out of my pocket to se it was Janelle calling. I pressed the green button and put the phone to my ear.

“Where are you?” was the first thing she said and I couldn’t stop myself from laughing a little.

“I’m on the camping”, I said and heard that she sighted a little annoyed, before she continued.

“Why did you leave so early and not waking me up?”

“I wanted to talk to…”, I looked at Mateo for help and he knew what I thought. He mumbled his middle name ‘James before nodding. “talk to James before you ran over him with questions” I finally spoke and she chuckled a little on the other side of the phone. I laughed a little to before she stopped ant continued to talk.

“Fine, but I’m coming down now, so be ready for the question train”, she said jokingly before cutting the line and my phone beeped. I sight and laughed a little and looked back up at Mateo.

“She is coming so be prepared” I said, the last part in a little scary way. We just laughed a little before he stood up and walked to his bedroom and took on a hoody and some sunglasses. Then we went over to the store and sat down inside before she came down.

 

I’m just hoping this is going good. And that she don’t figure out something.
