Chapter 25: The Kingdom's Ruler.

Exhausted and hungry from the chase, the slayers, and the child joined their pilot at a long meal. Then Rondei stopped to get answers.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you rescue me?" Rondei asked. "I didn't want to interfere, but someone acted like an asshole, and almost got himself killed," Harper explained. "Give me a break," Vincent said. "It was the right thing to do."

"So did you guy's find the Lunar Balls yet?" Daniela asked. "We found three," Harper answered. "But they are in the hands of the vampires. So consider it a problem." "We're going to need help if we need to bring our friends and family back," Vincent said. "That means creating a tracking devise, and increasing our strength levels." "Well I'm working on a Lunar Ball tracking devise already," Daniela explained. "I just need your help on it." "Yeah, but we also need someone who will tell us the secrets of this kingdom," Harper said. "Little Gray."

"Rondei," the child explained. "Do you know someone in this kingdom who might be able to do that?" Harper asked. "I know of one person," Rondei answered. "He is called the leader of our people, the oldest WoodNickian. It said long ago, when our people faced the "Big Storm", he led our people through the parole. They said that it was terrifying." "The Storm?" Vincent asked. "No," Rondei said.

"Well, whatever disasters you have, the slayers are there to help," Harper said. "I'm going with Little Gray to see this old guy." "Oh joy," Rondei said. "We'll stay here and work on the tracking device," Vincent said. "Be sure to find a Lunar Ball on the way back." "Got it," Harper said. Then Harper and the child left the cave.
