"Barbie I need to talk to you" Jason says
Why does he want to talk to me? Do I have the courage to talk to him? What does he want to say?
"Uhm okay but can I come with Nicole?" I ask
"UhM I said I wanna talk to only you not you and nicole" he says still clearly annoyed from the Kira's event
"Ooh alright so what do you wanna talk about?" I say
"Not here barbie. Outside." He says
"But I want to finish...." before I could complete this statement he's already dragging me outside.
Is this not a crime?
"Let go of me!" I say immediately we reach outside. I must say he's pretty strong.
"So what do you want to talk about" I ask clearly irritated by his rough behaviour
"I am sorry about that. And sorey about the kira stuff too so I just wanted to know um if you will like to you know grab coffee with me after school?" He says scratching his head
"Are you asking me on a date?" I ask him clearly suprised
"No no. I'm not asking you on a date not exactly...yet but I just want to get to know you more " he says
I wish it is a date but anyway he asked me to have coffee with him!!!! And he said not yet!!!That's a great start right?
"So what's your answer? You are coming or not?" He asks in an hesistant tune
"Um I have to tell my mom about the date..I mean coffee outing cos she'll be expecting me at home as soon as school is over so if she allows me, I can come" I rant out
"Oh but you can just text her." He says
"Yeah I know I thought of that but I dont really have her contact so..." I reply
"Oh she doesn't know about the phone?" He asks
"She does" I simply reply leaving out the way she found out about it
"Oh Thank goodness so I might see you soon right?" He asks
"Yeah..might" I reply
"Okay barbie. Let's head back" he says putting out his hand so i can put mine in so I gently refuse his offer. I see a feeling of hurt flash through him but he recovers fast.
The moment we get back into the Cafeteria, everyone is staring at us and I'm not really a spotlight kind of person so I just cover my face with my palm and walk towards the table
"You guys are back so soon! How was the chit chat. Oh and did he ask you out??" Nicole whispers in my ears before I could even sit down
"No! He didn't and I dont want him to and besides I dont like him and neither does he so there's no way that is happening!" I scream-whisper
"Fine fine woman keep calm" she chuckles "so what was the chit chat about?" She asks
"Oh we might grab coffee later today" I reply non challantly so she can stop with the conversation
"You mean he asked you out on a date?" She beams with radiance
"No nicole, we are just gonna have a get to know each other and that's all and please stop with the boring conversation. We are not the only one on this table" I tell her feeling kinda nervous I dont really know why
