I couldn't believe my ears. My heart stopped for a split second and time froze. My mother said the unbelievable. I'm staying in Japan to continue my studies here. Reiji smirked victorious at me and I felt anger swell inside me. Anger at my mom, anger at my mom, anger at everybody!!
I scrambled down Brady's back. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND WOMAN?!" I shouted at my mother, pointing fingers.
"Who do you think you're talking to, young lady?" My mom scolded but I could care less.
I was boiling over. "You obviously! I can't stay here! I hate it here! These Sakamaki idiots can't be trusted! Do you expect me to stay with the Sakamaki then as an exchange student or something?"
"Well..."
"I can't! You have no idea what goes on at school with these guys and I can't deal with it! I want to go back home where I belong in America!"
"Tikiyah, sweetie, can't we talk about it--"
I turned my back on her and headed for our rental car where I purposely left my door unlocked for a quick get away. I knew something bad was bound to happen but I didn't expect this. I can't stand to stay here and I didn't want to hear what my mom had to say about it all.
~~~~~~
I didn't talk much to my mom after that meeting with Reiji. I ended up hiding out in my room once we got back to our little rental house and never left it unless I needed to. My mom brought my food up to my room and tried to make small talk with me every now and then but I didn't respond to her openly. It went on like this until the my departure to move with the Sakamaki. My mom was able to get my school in America to extend the time we're in Japan got her a new plane ticket so we could get this idea of me living with the Sakamaki going. I thought she would give up on the idea after I stormed away from the group but she was serious about this.
"Tikiyah, please don't be mad at me. I'm doing this for your own good." My mom told me as I got ready to hop into the taxi that came to take me to the Sakamaki Mansion two weeks later.
Doing this for my own good my ass! I thought to myself but puts on a fake smile and says, "Sure you are. I completely understand!"
"Call me anytime you want and I will try to get back to you asap as will I try calling as much as possible." My mom went on. "I love you baby girl." She went to hug me and I only gave her a weak side hug before turning to get into the car. "Be good!"
It was a long drive to the mansion. It was on the outskirts of town, isolated except for the looming trees over head. I found it as a creepy setting since we were driving during the night and the mansion that was approaching looked like it was straight out of a horror movie.
Finally, I arrive and the taxi stopped in front of the huge gate of the mansion where Reiji was waiting for me. He opens my door for me to get out and ordered the taxi driver to get my things and take it into the mansion.
"Glad you could make it, Tikiyah-san." Reiji greeted all to nicely.
"I had no choice to make it..." I muttered with a glare at him.
"It won't be too bad living here." Reiji says before leading me through the gates and into the creepy garden. "You'll have a female companion to deal with the troubles you have."
"Oh? So, you have another poor soul held captive here?" I asked matter-of-factly.
"Just another exchange student." Reiji said simply.
"Who happens to also be a female?" I shook my head. "I don't trust you Sakamaki."
"Well, you should." Reiji stopped to look at me in the eyes with a serious expression written on his face. "If you have at least one of us you trust and we trust in you the same, we might just save your life."
