I was happy to be away from the Sakamaki brothers after dinner. It was so awkward at the dinner table! Nobody really talked except that time at the beginning with the twins arguing over me. That was it. After that, it was quiet enough to hear a chopstick drop. A wooden chopstick dropping on the floor. No one even looked at one another or really acknowledged that the other was there. They just....ate. I was use to family talking about their day at the dinner table while eating with the TV on to drown out the chewing. It was always loud at my house so it was weird to me being in this situation. Reiji told me that after this meal, I'd be in the kitchen cooking with Yui-chan and the few other chiefs which I am completely fine with! I rather be alone doing my own thing than be in that awkward situation any day. So what if I can't cook?

I retreated back to my room afterwards and skipped dessert. I wouldn't get use to this family dynamic. I ended up just chilling on my phone for a bit on my fanfiction site reading. It was still early in a vampire's day so I kinda had nothing to do.

A knock was on my door and I assumed it had to be Reiji. He was the only one that didn't barge in on people. Subaru and Ayato haven't done anything yet but I feel that they'd be ones to barge in just like Laito and Shu and possibly Kanato.

"Come in!" I exclaimed and was surprised to see Kanato entering the room. I instantly frowned. "What do you want, Teddy Boy?"

"Is that the thanks I get for bringing you dessert?" Kanato replied shortly as he came over to my bed with a plate of strawberry cheesecake.

"Oh..." Was all I could say. The cheesecake did look good and I really did hate to miss out on my favorite part of dinner. "Sorry...th-thanks for thinking about me..." I choked a little saying that as I took the plate from him.

"It was really Teddy's idea." Kanato replied curtly avoiding my eyes...did I see blush painting his cheeks?

"Sure..." I rolled my eyes. "Why do you carry that thing around with you, anyways?"

"He's not a thing! He's Teddy!" Kanato snapped.

"I'm sorry, why do you carry Teddy around all the time?" I rephrased mockingly.

"Because..." Kanato stared down at the stuffed bear in his pale hands. "He means a lot to me...and he holds something inside of him that keeps me close to someone dear to me that...died."

"And who is that? An old friend? A relative?" I sat up and turned my body to face him genuinely interested in his response, taking my first bite of my cheesecake.

"Relative. My mother gave me Teddy long ago before she was ki--I mean before she died. A piece of her still lies in Teddy." Kanato tells me, hugging Teddy to his chest.

"How did she die if you don't mind me asking? She was a vampire, right?"

Kanato nodded. "Cordelia, my mother, was actually killed."

My eyes widened. Kanato said this so calmly as if it doesn't bother him at all. "By who? And...why?"

"Oh, Kanato, spare Kokoa-chan's innocence." Laito's voice came into the story. I turn to see the redhead sitting on the bay window. When did he get here? I have no idea. "You'll surely scare her even more than you already do with telling her that story."

"Butt out, Laito!" Kanato snapped.

"No, why don't you butt out?" Laito shot back calmly. I barely blinked and Laito was crushing me as hs was suddenly at my side holding me.  I have been triggered. "Kokoa-chan and I were going to have a little..."quality time" and three's a crowd."

"Wait...who said--" I was interrupted.

"I was here first, Laito." Kanato's patience were being tested. Jealousy and anger mingled within the shorter male's eyes. Jealousy? Did I get that right?  "Maybe you should take your advice and leave. You're irrelevant to this chapter anyways."

"Well, I think our fans say otherwise. I'm adding more spice into this situation." Laito countered.

Where was this going? I wanted to know.

"Enough. Tikiyah needs to fulfill her promise to me now." Shu had stepped in and seemed to actually come into my room through my door as he was leaning in the doorway.

"Oh, look who finally decided to get out of bed!" Laito mocked. "Simply ordering me around will not unhand my Kokoa-chan," A growl from Kanato was unleashed at the mention of me being Laito's object, "Shu, you will have to make me let go of her. I'm sure you need the exercise since all you ever do is sleep."

Shu said nothing at first meeting Laito's confident, challenging smirk with a glare of his princely blue eyes. "Okay..." He finally responded and came over to my bed and pushed Laito aside and off the bed with one strong shove to the face with a hand and picked up bridal style, ignoring Laito's protests. I was blushing since I never been really swept off my feet like this. "Happy now?" Shu questioned coolly walking out and leaving a angered Kanato and Laito back in my room.

"U-um....thanks for save me from those two back there..." I told the blonde gratefully as we silently made our way to where I assume was the music room.

"Hm," Was all I got out of Shu.

Another awkward silence...

Shu opens the door to a spacious room where a grand piano stood in the middle of the dark room. White moonlight only shined from the small crack between the curtains of the balcony and onto the shiny black instrument. A couple mirophones and speakers were in a corner, Kanato must haven't been singing much at home lately. Wonder why.

Shu sets me down and heads over to that couch that was placed across from the piano. "Sing for me, Tikiyah."

"B-but....how do I set this all up? I have no instructions on how to get the microphone and the music going!"

"It's not rocket science to put this together, Tikiyah." Shu retorted lazily as he got settled down on the couch.

I frowned. "If it's not rocket science then help me figure your equipment out!"

"I'm not the performer here, you got to get it together yourself."

I did an inward scream and crossed my arms, puffing my cheeks out in frustration. "I can't work like this!"

"Fine," Shu sighs and sat up again. "Come here." I do that and he stuck his headphones on my head and shoved his phone in my hand. "Find a instrumental for a song you know and sing to that. It'll be just vocals for me. I'm fine with just you singing."

I blinked at him before letting an exasperated sigh slip. "Alright, Shu...if I make your ears bleed, make sure you got a tissue and keep in mind it wasn't my fault."

Shu chuckled as he laid back down. "I'll keep that in mind but I'm sure it's unnecessary. Just sing for me, Tikiyah. I've been kept waiting long enough."
