"Sorry again for almost killing you..." I tell Amara with a sheepish grin as we leave from the nurse's office. We were running late to fourth period because of Amara's need for her Epi-pen but we took our time to get to class anyway.
"It's o-okay...You didn't know." Amara reassured me. "Even though peanuts aren't allowed in school because of allergies but...it's not your fault. You didn't know."
I put some distance between us, eyes big with surprise. Who knew a sweet looking girl could be so...aggressive? "Alright...that sounds nothing like something being "okay.""
"Oh, trust me, that was my something being okay sound. My something not being okay sound is way worse."
I blinked, and I thought I was weird and made no sense. "...If that was...what you last said was true then why didn't you use that to get respect from...Mimi?"
"Miki," Amara corrected before getting sheepish. "I-It's like a whole new world with Miki-san. She has to get her way and has to get the last word or consequences will be brought upon the ones who go against her."
"Well, one thing for sure when around this Miki chick, word of advice is," I start singing. "Don't you dare close your eyes! It's a whole new place I never knew--"
"Oh, no, you're going to have stop that--"
"UNbelievable sights!" I smirk at her and start spreading my wings and flying around her. "Indescribable feelings!
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
through an endless diamond sky! A whole new WORLD!!" I screeched that last world and I had forgotten that I was in school for a moment."School's in session, idiot." Before I could register where that voice came from, I thought it came from Mean Amara and was about to whirl around and slap her sideways. But then I realized that the voice was way too deep for her tiny little body to process and I look around for the true owner.
"Up here, genius."
I turn my gaze up to the stairs Amara and I were standing by and saw my old albino-pink tinted car, Subaru Legacy, leaning forward on the railings looking angry. "Oh, hi."
Subaru then daringly just hopped from the stairs down to our level with complete ease, as if he was jumping down the last step or two of stairs. You know, that thing everyone might do to see cool. Only thing is, what he just did was in fact cool. No, more than that--that shit was filthy AF!! No, just kidding but really. "Shouldn't you be in class, Bunny Maid?" He asked flicking my forehead, other hand in his pocket.
"Shouldn't you be in class...you, uh, car?" I shot back weakly.
Subaru shrugged. "I got bored. We moved on to drawing in Art class. I only sculpt and carve. Reason why I always carry THIS around." He pulled out a knife out of his pocket.
"Whoa! That's cool, it's all encrusted with diamond and shiz!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah..."
"You use that to make your own clothes, too?" I questioned gesturing to his baggy, ripped uniform top.
"What?" He looks down at himself then frowns realizing what I meant. "No!" He punched me in my arm lightly. I couldn't help but rub it and mumble an "ow." "My shirt origins is another story," He changes the subject, nodding to Amara. "Who's your friend you failed to introduce?"
Oh, yeah. Amara. For a second I forgot she was here. I turn to her and she looked kinda of stunned, staring at the car. "Uh, yeah, Subaru-san, this is Amara. Amara, this is--"
"Subaru-senpai! I-I know who he is..." Amara murmured, blushing some and eyes sparkling with awe. "Subaru Sakamaki, baby of the Sakamaki brother, the artist!"
