First Person(Tikiyah's):

The four of us rode in silence: Kanato, Ayato, Reiji, and I, on our way back home from the police department. The restaurant manager had called the police on Ayato and Kanato for disrupting the peace with the other customers. The police gave us a little ride to the department and called Reiji to pick us up after we gave them our information, as if Reiji was our guardian. He was pretty mad at us like he was our father, though. So mad that he was silent and his face was forever plastered with a frown....more less. But he was pretty mad, don't get me wrong, I felt like a little kid being scolded and the disappointment just radiating off of Reiji when his gaze touched mine when he came up there.

"Are you okay, Tikiyah-chan?" Kanato murmured to me after a while of silence, driving. "After what happened with...him?" Hate laced in his voice at the mention of his redhead brother who was currently sleeping with ease on the other side of Reiji. If Reiji let them sit next to each other Kanato would have ripped Ayato's face off his head which is not a pretty picture but Kanato didn't care, he said it.

"Uh...I'm fine. J-just a little shaken up by all that commotion," I told him. "What I can't wrap my head around, though, is where did you come from? Did you follow us?"

"I had a hunch!" Kanato blurted, blushing in embarassment. "Ayato doesn't care about you, he just wants your blood. They all do. I'm the only one you can trust."

My eyes widened. That was pretty dark. I knew now that I couldn't trust Shu, Laito, Ayato, or even Subaru. But Reiji? Believe or not, I could see myself being friends with him. We get along fairly well minus him being a smartass all the time and that one time he bit me but I think I was tempting him with my blood which was on me. Ayato and Shu, they went in to make their own cuts but with Reiji, I was fooling around so I don't blame him. Even if it did hurt. "How do I know if I can trust you?" I inquired. "You're a bloodthirsty vampire just like your brothers. What makes you so different from them?"

"Saved your life from Ayato." Kanato replied sharply.

"Yeah? Subaru-san saved my life from Ayato-san, too. And Reiji-san had saved me from every one of you guys once already no matter if it was a small deed." I paused to let it sink in Kanato seemed thoughtful. I crossed my arms. "If we're going off my how many times you've Sakamaki saved me, Reiji would be the one I should trust."

Kanato groans and clutched his fist angerly. "Why can't anybody see it? The facts are all right here!"

"What facts? The fact that you are insane?" I asked with a mischievous smile. "And the fact that you probably need some help? Or the fact that--"

"That's enough, Tikiyah." Reiji scolded with a warning glance at me. "You should be grateful he cared enough to come after you with the knowledge that Ayato planned to drink from you. Even if he did tackle it recklessly."

Kanato said nothing but merely glared at Reiji.

"Sorry, Reiji-san." I muttered, ducking my head down feeling once again like a little kid to a parent. "Thanks again, Kanato..."

Kanato didn't say anything, merely turning to the window. What went through his mind?

"We need to go. With or without him." Reiji stated the next morning as he headed for the limo waiting outside for us.

"Come on! He can't leave him." I defended the purple-haired Sakamaki who was still up in his room getting ready for school. Today he was taking a longer time than usual and his brothers were getting antsy. "I'm sure he wants to be on time just as bad as you do."

"Then why is he taking a years worth of time to get ready?" Subaru pointed out.

"We should go." That was Laito looking rather smug. "He's probably not even trying to go to school today for whatever reason. If he did want us to wait for him, Kanato would have said something."
