Prologue
Today was like any other day, I dragged my lazy ass out of bed to prepare for another
school day. My room looked dark and haunting at six am in the morning. I walked over
to my bathroom and stared at the young women I had become.
My eyes were lime green the colour I had inherited from my father who sadly passed
away when I was nine, my hair was blonde and wavy manly from all the surfing I do.
It's my escape surfing standing up on the waves and paddling
into unknown waters. Of course from the lack of sleep dark circles hung under my
eyes. I'm currently in year twelve being seventeen is not all crash hot to be let me tell
you. I snapped out of thoughts and jumped into the shower singing to my favourite
song ' Give me love ' by the famous
Ed.
" Emma hurry up get down here, I need to go " My mum said.
" Coming mum "
I quickly applied little foundation and pulled my hair up in a messy pony tail.
" Darling I'm leaving I'll only be gone for about a week. I left some money under the
fruit bowl, have fun at school."
Mum gave me a kiss on the cheek.
And with that mum was gone again for another week, she is a flight attended so she is
always going somewhere. I always had the house to myself, I'm not saying that I don't
like it but it does get annoying sometimes.
" Okay thanks mum love you"
I jumped into my mums old car and made my way to best friend Morgans house we
seriously are like sisters. Doing everything together since birth. Morgan was beautiful,
just like me she loved surfing.
She had long straight brown hair, and freckles but unlike me she was tall, her eyes were
like a charm and could make any boy fall in love with her. They were what I called the
colour of ocean ( deep blue )
" Hey Emma, ready for the stupid history exam today, well I'm certainly not. "
I just smiled as both of us were to busy watching reruns of the Carrie Diaries to not
even care about homework. Well we will pay for it now.
{ 6 hours later }
After a long exhausting day at school I hugged goodbye to Morgan as she was off to work. I walked over to my car to drive home and began to make dinner. I walked
through the garage and my surfboard was just staring at me, pleading for it to touch
the warm water of the surf. I checked my watch and it was only 4:00. I quickly
strapped my surfboard onto the roof of my car and checked I had my ' emergency
swimmers' in the back before speeding off to the near by beach. The surf was amazing
practically rolling over each other. I noticed only a few people out there. As soon as the
water touched my skin the stress sunk to the bottom of the ocean. I paddled out when
I came across a guy sitting on his board looking a tad awkward... His hair was blonde
and wasn't wet yet, and he had eyes the same colour of water, he also was really tall,
and had a lip piercing.
I quickly looked away before he noticed me staring. A wave came and I paddled as well
as the guy, although he looked really funny like he had never surfed before. The
strange guy then tried to stand and that was funny ! He looked very out of place. Of
course I couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
" Go on laugh some more I can't surf for shit " He said with a laugh.
" Well I won't say that but there would be room for improvement "
" Okay well maybe you could teach me, here I'll give you my number, but my phone
would be on the beach "
I couldn't help but giggle again. At first of course he looked like one of those bad boys
with a lip piercing, he tried to act cool and then would blush and make it feel
awkward. I actually liked this boy, he was cute and adorable in both ways.
" By the way my name is Luke, Luke Hemmings "
" Mine is Emma, Emma Jones " and with that I gave a little bow and giggled.
Please comment this is very first ever wattpad story ! Please if any one can help with editing I would be pleased thanks so much xxx
