To America

Here's the first chapter of my #Mashley fan-fic! I will try and make all my chapters as long as this one or longer, but it may take longer so just bear with me. None of these events actually happened because they take place in the future, but I am using real-life stuff that already happened in my story. Again, sorry for the delay and I hope you like it! :D

Mitch's POV:

Ashley would be coming to America today, and I wasn't exactly sure how I felt about it. The truth was, I liked her when I first met her because she was hot, but then I pushed my feelings away when I learned she lived in the UK, thinking it could never work out. They've been there ever since and I'd like to say I've forgotten about them, but now, knowing she would be here with no distance to keep her away, I wasn't really sure anymore. I shake my head at my own silly thoughts. Usually I was never that deep, but after all the Team Crafted drama, it's changed me as a person and opened me up a little more so I know have those kind of thoughts.

"Hey bud, we gotta go."

Jerome's voice snaps me back into reality and I realize that I'm staring at a black screen. "Okay." I reply, hopping up from my bed. Jerome and I had volunteered to pick Ashley up, seeing as we were the closest to her. Everyone else would help set up the "Welcome to America" party we were throwing for her. Once in the car, Jerome hit the gas and we drove off to the airport, running a bit late as usual. When we get there, Jerome stays in the car and I go into the airport to find and take Ashley home. Or to the house, at least. I know she won't be moving into her actual apartment until Thursday. In the meantime, she would stay in a hotel. I wave through the crowds until I get to her terminal. It doesn't take long to find her because as usual, she was wearing her poofy hat which makes her extremely noticeable among the crowds. The sight of her makes me stop short for just a second, but then I take a breath and start towards her.

Ashley's POV:

"Why hello there young miss, are you lost?" I hear a voice ask me. When I look up, I see the face of a cute Canadian that I used to adore so much. "Mitch!" I exclaim, smiling and jumping up to meet his gaze. We hug awkwardly and exchange greetings before proceeding to leave the airport, Mitch being a gentleman and offering to take my bags. After we went on the Europe trip together, I developed strong feelings for Mitch that I knew he didn't have for me. Some of my fans knew, and I had quickly pretended not to like him as I saw the population of #mashley shippers grow. I wasn't ever really the type to "make the first move", so I let my feelings go unnoticed until I realized it was never going to work and dropped them altogether. Of course because of that, he was the one who hurt me the most with the silence we had gone through, but his apology also meant the most out of all of them. Hugging him and feeling his familiar touch and scent brought all those feelings back, and I had quite a bit of trouble trying to keep the smile and blush off my face.

When we reach the car, Jerome is at the wheel, giving his usual goofy grin that he usually had on. "Hey Ashley!" he says as Mitch opens the door. He sits in the front, while I settle in the back with all my bags and suitcase. As we drive, we chat a bit about the usual "how have you been?", and "any special plans?", and stuff like that. With a side of Jerome's humor. When we get to the TC House, I get out and Jerome and Mitch help me with my bags up the steps and into the house. As soon as Jerome opens the door, all I hear is "SURPRISE!" as the lights come on and everyone jumps out. I jump back and nearly drop my bags in the shock of it all. I look behind me at jerome and Mitch in absolute disbelief. Mitch smirks and whisperes "Welcome to LA." before walking past me and into the house. All of my friends including Adam, Ryan and Vik (who had also moved this year), come up and welcome me inside, asking questions and smiling at my reaction. I hug and thank all of them as I hear music start to play and people dance and party everywhere. I see Ian and Maddie together, Jerome with his girlfriend, and Mitch talking to Ryan as he head up the stairs. I pardon myself from the guests and start after him, the rest of my bags in my own hands. When I reach the living room where I would temporarily be keeping my luggage, to my disappointment, Mitch is already gone. I want to thank him, but I know I should be downstairs socializing, so I put down my bags and leave.
