Mitch's POV:
"Louise is flying in next week on Wednesday. Do you think Ashley should meet her then?" Jerome asks, peeking into my room.
"Sure." I say, not looking up from my phone. I was still kind of ticked off about the whole "Mashley" thing, but I knew I wouldn't be able to hold a grudge against him for long. He clears his throat.
"Listen, about the whole 'mashley' thing. I didn't mean to cause any awkwardness between you and Ashley. I guess I just forgot about the whole virginity thing and made you both feel uncomfortable." he says. I sigh before replying.
"It's ok, it wasn't really a big deal anyway." I say, looking up at him slightly. He probably knows I'm lying, but he doesn't say anything.
"Y'know, I talked to Ashley and apologized to her as well, that's what I wanted to talk to her about the other day." he says casually, but it catches my attention anyway.
"What do you mean you 'talked to her'"? I ask.
"I just texted her and apologized, calm down homie." he says, leaning against the doorway. I relax a little and nod.
"Sorry I've been so on edge lately, this girl crap is hard." I say. Jerome smiles.
"Yeah, that's how me and Louise first were. Don't worry, it gets easier." he says, and I nod. "Have you popped the big question yet?" he asks. I look at him confusedly before I realize what he's saying.
"No." I say, surprised by my own answer. It felt like we were already official, I forgot we actually weren't.
"Mitch," Jerome starts. "You know you actually do have to ask her. You can't just not ask her to be your girlfriend. It's like an unsaid rule, G." I put my hand over my eyes and groan. Jerome laughs.
"Better do it quick before someone else does." he says, and I glare at him. He leaves the room before I can say anything else. I pull my phone back out and plan me and Ashley's seond date, the one where I would ask her to be my girlfriend.
Ashley's POV:
Tara seemed extremely interested in my adventures in L.A, especially the part when I mentioned Mitch. She was surprised I was even dating someone, but happy for me all the same.
Now we sit together on my bed, me showing her the pictures I've taken so far. When I get to the one of me kissing MItch's cheek, Tara knowingly smiles at me.
"What?" I ask.
"Oh, nothing." she says. I'm not sure what she's getting at, so I don't say anything.
When I finish showing her all of my pictures, she sits forward excitedly.
"So when do I get to meet him?" she asks.
"Who?" I say, a little dazed by her question.
"Come on, don't play stupid! Mitch! Who else?" she says, rolling her eyes.
"Oh." I say quietly. "I don't know." She looks at me funny.
"What's wrong? Do you not want me to meet him?" she asks worriedly. I quickly shake my head.
"No, it's not that. It's just...he doesn't exactly know you're here. I didn't really think about the two of you meeting each other." I say.
"Oh, so he must've kept you pretty busy then, huh?" she says, wryly smiling at me. I punch her arm as I feel my face flush.
"I'm just joking, lighten up!" she laughs before getting serious. "So, how have you been?" A worried look crosses her face as she takes my hand in hers. I shake my head.
