***Before I start, I fucked up at the end of the last chapter. So instead of going back to fix it, I'm just gonna put the correction in the beginning of this one and then we'll just carry on. :D***

It hurt to me to see this amount of blood oozing from her and at times I wanted to stop but I was already far into this. I had a clear view of her bladder and large intestine but not her uterus where the parasite infested. I moved those organs around in the abdominal cavity till I had a clear view of the uterus. Grabbing my knife again, I clearly envisioned the last time I had done this; cutting  through it to reveal the child. Pulling it out along with a whole host of other fluids, I remember setting it down on her legs and grabbed the scissors to cut the chord and then all I needed to do was pull out the uterus to stitch it up and then close her up...

Vanity

Waking up, I felt... I don't really know how to describe it but the pain right in my stomach was unbearable. I was flat on my back with a cold sensation on my legs, trying to sit up things moved around which was unsettling. Looking around, I was in a room? Towels were beneath my fingers and I tried to push myself up and to my horror I looked down at my stomach to see organs poking out of a large gash. I was horrified, wanted to scream but the pain that shot through me made my body seize up.

I don't know what happened but I need to get out. I tried to push everything back in as much as I could but it would just come right back out and I was ready to pass out again. Vanity, keep calm. I thought to myself and tried to just take slow deep breaths so I wouldn't pass out. I carefully moved my legs over to the side of the bed and scooted over, still holding my insides as best as I could.

On the ground was a man- looking closer I was able to see it was Marquis. My heart nearly dropped down and out of my body through this gash. There was no doubt I felt faint and seeing all this blood wasn't helping accompanied with the irony smell that stung my nose. This isn't a time to focus on being weak, I just need to get outside and get help... I was determined to get out that door.

With a clear and calm mind, I slipped my arms out of the arm holes to my dress, I pulled it down so all the fabric was bunched over the gash but it was no use, the dress was already too soaked in blood to do any good so I just let it slide down the rest of my body and lay in a pile on the floor. Standing up with the support of the nightstand and one hand juggling to hold my organs, it felt disgusting for my hand to touch such an odd texture. It was smooth but not settling- oh God the baby.

Looking around on the bed, I didn't see anything that resembled a baby but I don't know for sure, everything was becoming one giant blur. Taking one step at a time, I used the wall for support but it was hard to walk with this much pain and each time I moved so did everything else inside. Thankfully the room was small so it was just eight steps to get me from the bed to the door. The blood on my fingers wasn't helping on the gold lock, it made it nearly impossible to grip and the longer it took, the more anxious I got. It got to the point where my hands were too shaky to even try to grab it and that's when the tears started coming.

If anything, the world came to a hault when I heard him groan.

Never in my life have I felt the fight or flight response on this deep of a level. I kept fumbling with the lock till finally it clicked and I opened the door. Slipping out the crack, I looked both ways to try to figure out where the lobby was because that's where the most people were. He was starting to get up and I made the decision to run left, despite the pain and faintness, I needed to get away. It was like the world became silent and all I was focused on hearing was his footsteps... they started slow but getting faster, I could sense the distance between us getting smaller and it kicked in an adrenaline rush.
