Chapter 11: Games

"What did they say?" I asked Amara.

It's been 3 days since her doctor appointment but I haven't checked up with her.

"I cancelled it."

"What you mean you cancelled it? Why?"

"I want you to be there with me. This is something we both want and I don't want to go through it by myself." She said sitting down.

I was quiet.

"Why are you so quiet?"

"Nothing." I shook my head.

"You're lying."

"No, baby. It's nothing for real. I'm just excited." I lied.

"Chris what is going on? You haven't said anything about a baby since I mentioned it last week. I'm just following up with your idea. You were the one who said you wanted to 'Expand your horizons' and have more babies now you don't want to have kids any more?" She said standing up and crossing her arms.

"I didn't say I didn't want to have them anymore Amara, I just... I'm just not ready."

"Not ready? Okay, what if I was pregnant and you said what you just said? You'll back out like you did on Royalty?" She said stepping closer.

"Hold up." I paused standing up. "You ain't even have to go there."

"You're playing games and that's something I don't have time for." She said.

"Playing games? Amara, I haven't played anything and you know that! The real reason I don't want to have any kids now is because I'm going on tour." I blurted.

She jerked her head back.

"Tour?"

I sighed.

"When was I gonna know about it? How long have you known?" She asked.

"A minute. I just been so busy I haven't had ti--"

"Shut the fuck up talking to me Chris. You had more than enough time to tell me. But you know what, it's cool. I'm not gonna sweat it. If we have a baby then we do, if we don't then we don't." She brushed pass me and I just stood there. Watching her walk up the stairs.

"Babe." I asked her.

It had only been about an hour since our mini blow out and she still mad at me.

She keep saying she not but I know she still mad cause she wouldn't let me fuck.

"What Chris?" She snapped.

"I love you and I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

"Okay." Was all she said.

I smacked my lips. "I can make you another appointment though." I said hoping she would cheer up.

"Don't. It's pointless. You're not gonna be here to help me anyway."
