I find myself understanding this way too clearly! But I'm not ashamed of how I do. I can't change or choose to not have a mental illness. Mental illness chooses you, not the other way around. Society needs to understand, respect and support that fact and all the rest of them in this epidemic.
We are not defined by our illness(s). We may look or seem weak but we are not weak, only sick. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with battling/fighting our brain every single day. That right there is power, strength and courage. For all of us, we all struggle along the way through our slip ups and relapses with our illness(s) but that doesn't mean we don't try to fail on purpose or that we have failed in any way in reality.
Life is hard, and nto everything will come that easy nor perfect. Nothing is perfect, its overrated. Imperfect is way better. It looks better in reality than perfection ever has. Working on projects in warehouses for orders from clients instructing us workers to complete them completely perfect, your not thinking properly. Don't think logically all the time.
Because if you think logically, your gonna lose the creative arts. And millions of us don't want that taken away from us. So please, take a break and think differently (creatively), find ideas on Pinterest, or come up with your own.
We can't solve all the world's problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. We have to think and live creatively. It solves way more than logical thinking ever did. Logical thinking may work sometimes, but the rest only creates more problems and makes things in reality worse for all the world's problems.
And I don't care what anyone out in the world that has any negative comments to say about what I have to say about all the things that are important to me, that I value, that I believe in and stand up for.
I'm not gonna apologize for anything that makes up the person that I've been wanting to become and that I'm proud to be. I am who I want to be and nothing that anyone could ever say or do, will change that.
Your mental illness. Doesn't define you. Doesn't make you weak. Doesn't make you crazy. Doesn't make you a burden. – #WorldMentalHealthDay
