My parents usually leave before I get up for school. So I didn't have to deal with them. That was great for me, when thinking about what happened last night. Juli and Marcus picked me up and we happily made it to school.
After a few hours of annoying teachers and schoolwork, lunch had started, and I didn't take my usual seat besides my friends, and went to find Ty instead.
I was walking through out the school hallways, trying to spot the light skinned nuisance I was about to....
"Sabienne," suddenly I heard his voice from behind me, "I've been looking for you."
"Same." I muttered and turned around. He was looking at me with unsure eyes, and he scratched the back of his neck.
Awkward.
"Umm..." I muttered looking down at the floor. I was so ready before to give a piece of my mind, why the 'Umm' now?
"Look...Sabienne, I'm sorry about last night. Really, I fucked up and..."
I crossed my arms, ready to speak, not even letting him finish his words. "Really Ty, that was messed up. And I ended up getting in a lot of trouble with my parents. I'm sorry I'm mad, but that was not how I planned for that to go."
He sighed.
"I get why you're mad, and I'm sorry I'm the cause." He took my hands into his, and looked directly into my eyes. "I'm sorry I made your first party experience so fucked up." He said genuinely.
I stared back into his eyes. He looked pretty genuine, I wasn't going to lie. But I was not a stupid girl, no matter how much I seemed to be at times. I had common sense. At least some.
"Okay, Ty." I said and he broke into a wide smile. My heart fluttered at the action. "But you have to prove to me why I should trust you."
Ty's smile died down. He sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Of course. Always a but. How am I going to prove it?"
I gave him a wide smile. "The best way you can think of." He smiled again and brought me close for a hug.
"I'll make it up to you." He whispered against my ear. I giggled as his breath tickled my ear and he joined in, without even knowing why I was laughing. We separated after and I went to the cafeteria, where my friends would be. Our favorite lunch table was outside, and after getting my lunch, I went to find them.
I suddenly halted and had my jaw drop down when I noticed who had joined us for lunch.
Wow.
Juli noticed me first, and I knew she could have done this on purpose, when she gave me one of her super sly smiles. I groaned and didn't move.
I already skipped half of lunch, it would be over soon. So there was basically no freaking reason to actually go eat with them. I was ready to walk away, but Juli already had plans. Like always.
She was such a stereotypical best friend.
She said something and I watched as everyone turned to look at me. And yes, including him.
I groaned again and decided to just go sit. As I mentioned before, pretty soon lunch would be over. So it wouldn't be long to get this thing over with. I lay my tray on the table and quickly sat down.
"Hey boo!" My friend Jay said. She had a huge smile on her face and waved both her hands at me. She was so cheerful that I sometimes felt it hard to trust her. But after getting to know her, I realized that was just in her blood.
I smiled at her and waved awkwardly.
"Where have you been?" Juli whispered into my ears.
I rolled my eyes at her, and she frowned. "None of you business, miss." She crossed her arms at me and parted her lips to say something else.
