The golden sphere was beginning to set upon the horizon and the temperature soon dropped dramatically, I shivered.

The troops and I eventually entered a spooky, dull forest, my insides immediately felt like a cold winters day. It was very dark, you could smell the hatred and poison in the air, the evilness that surrounded the atmosphere made me cringe.

"When we reach the Witch's campsite you get Edmund, I'll stand gaurd." Orieus planned, still galloping. My heart bounced at his name, just his name took me to cloud nine. Every time that I had the slightest thought of the boy, it made my heart flutter. I had never had these sort of weird feelings before, but why now? But why him?

While we steadily rode further into the forest, dark figures began to appear. We held our weapons firm in our hands, ready to attack. Horrible faces spun around in shock and let me tell you, their faces weren't pretty. In the distance I saw a familiar figure tied to a tree, a dwarf held a dagger to his neck.

I soon realized who this victim was. I immediately jumped off Orieus bolting towards the dwarf. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!" I shrieked, fiercely at the dwarf. I could feel my eyes alter from blue to a blazing, deep red. The dwarf spun around and dropped the blade fearfully. He stood like a frozen statue, terror written all over his expression. I dashed towards Edmund and kneeled beside his frail body. I carefully ripped off the cloth that had been tied around his mouth. "Boy, am I glad to see you," I smiled, while cutting off the tight ropes that trapped his hands and feet from escaping. I helped him stand up quickly placing my arm on his shoulder for support, while he slid his arm around my waist. I couldn't help but to blush as my stomach flipped and twisted. "Orieus take him. I'll be back in a moment," I told, handing Edmund over to Orieus. Charging back towards the dwarf I raised him buy his coat, shoving him into the tree viciously and began to tie him firm as I could to the tree. "This is your lucky day my friend, otherwise you would be dead," I could feel the venom spit from my mouth as I spoke. This different behaviour was a whole new thing to me. I had never spoke with such loathsome and I didn't know whether I liked it or not.
I didn't want to kill him, I just wanted to make him fear father's army and I. "ORIEUS, DAGGER!" I commanded. In seconds I managed to catch the dagger from behind and jab it through his fluffy, red hat into the tree. I laughed in amusement and ran away with an evil grin shaped onto my lips.

Once I made it back to Orieus I mounted onto his back, sitting closely behind Edmund. Orieus dashed out of the forest in a matter of minutes, and I dared not to look back into the dark, ugly woodland. I was slightly taken back by the force of moving forwards. I didn't want to fall off Orieus' back so I had no choice but to ask, "Edmund can I hold onto you so I don't fall off?" I asked, awkwardly.

"Yes uh, sure," Edmund laughed. Hesitantly I snaked my arms around Edmunds slim waist, I felt his spine shiver against my chest and I giggled humorously at his boy hormones. "Thank you for saving me." Edmund whispered.

"No worries, I am just glad you are safe now." I murmured. Only after a few moments of silence my eyes began to feel heavy. I told myself to keep awake but my brain couldn't fight back anymore. I rested my head on Edmund's back and I let my body shut down into darkness.

I woke up to my head still on Edmund's back. The sun began rising slowly causing the sky to glow beautiful blue, purple and yellow tinges. Our troop finally arrived back at father's camp and people had began to appear from their tents.

Every person we passed looked at Edmund with sympathy but their eyes showed disappointment and anger. Edmund's body began to churn, I could feel that he was getting uncomfortable as the stares followed him like a shadow. I tightened my grip his waist, trying to comfort him. "Are you trying to kill me?" Edmund joked, sarcastically, turning his head slightly. Our faces almost touching.

"No, just making sure you feel a bit more comfortable." I told grinning, gazing into those beautiful brown eyes. No Amelia! He is your best friend's brother! Our heads slightly getting closer, Edmund looked at my lips quickly then quickly locking his eyes into mine. My heart raced, I swear you could hear my heart beat from miles away.

"Errrrm..." Orieus coughed, snapping us back to reality, "We are here your majesty's. Edmund, Aslan would like to speak to you," we both jumped off Orieus, making our way to wherever father was, "Alone." Orieus told. Edmund looked at me fearfully,

I placed my hand onto his scrawny arm and giving him a reassuring smile, "You'll be fine Edmund, trust me." I spoke honestly. I rubbed Edmund's arm, relaxing his tense body.

I waited by my tent, watching father talk to Edmund on top of a large rock. He seemed very quiet, he continued looked very upset and guilty. Moments later Peter strolled out of his tent, the same time Orieus walked by. They both glanced at eachother, Orieus then turned to the rock father and Edmund were standing, Peter followed his gaze. I could see in his eyes relief and happiness. He then noticed me and I walked over to him. "Please take it easy on him, he's gone through a lot." I whispered to him.

Soon after Susan and Lucy walked out of their tent, joining Peter and I. They both noticed Peter and I were gazing at something, so they followed our stare.

"Edmund!" Lucy beamed, excitedly. She tried to advance towards him, but Peter quickly haltered. Father and Edmund noticed Lucy's happiness. Father dismissed him and they both made their way towards us. As Edmund got closer, you could tell he was nervous to be reunited with his family. He had his hands in his pockets, his face and body movements stiff and stern.

"What's done is done. There is no need to speak to Edmund about what has past." father said simply and walked away.

"Hello." Edmund greeted, awkwardly. There was a short pause, all of us just stared.

Lucy suddenly ran into his arms, hugging him tightly. As soon as Lucy let go, Susan mimicked her actions.
I smiled to myself, glad that I saw him back with his family. I could see that he really did care and love his family. It would be very difficult if for everyone if Edmund never got saved. But I believe Edmund has finally realized how important family means to him. I just wished there wouldn't be a war, any of us could be seriously hurt, or dead. I couldn't afford that to happen to any of us.

"Are you alright?" Susan asked.

"I'm a little tired." Edmund croaked.

"Get some sleep," Peter cut in. I turned to him and raised my eyebrows, obviously he didn't understand what I said only moments ago. He rolled his eyes with a sigh as Edmund began to make his way to the tents, "And Edmund," Peter called out. "Try not to wonder off." he finished with a smile. Edmund smiled back and then continued to trot into his tent. I decided to leave the Pevensie's, and walk back to my tent.

I sat on the edge of my bed, staring at the ground. I ran my hands through my hair, exhaling a long, deep breath, trying to take everything in. I began to think about everything that had happened ever since these past few months.

Seeing a lion in the woods, meeting the Pevensie's, having an adventure in a wardrobe, Edmund getting captured.

And most of all finding out who my father was and where I truly belong.
I noticed I had grown very close to the Pevensie's, they felt like family. I never wanted to leave them, they were the only people I could truly call family.
But what would happen if we got separated after we returned back to England? They then would have to go back to Finchley, or if I decided to stay here in Narnia. What would happen then? Would I ever see them again? I mean it's not like we're going to stay here forever? Right?
