I moaned from the tapping sun-light against my face, wondering how long I had been sleeping. I blinked, shut my eyes, and blinked again. I yawned, managing to fully open both eyes. My mind was fuzzy, the last remnants of a dream being chased away by the realization that I am awake again. It was a nice dream, I had made love with my one and only. It wasn't the first time though. It was when Edmund first proposed to me, I was 17 and the both of us were old enough to make our own decision.
The bright spring sunlight cuts the room in half and I see dust-motes dancing in the wall of light. I pulled the duvet up over my head to keep it out. There was a deep groan beside me, and I felt something warm edge closer to my body. I looked down and noticed my body was bare. My eyes widened as I realized last night's dream was actually real. I pushed the duvet from over me and sat up quickly, and looked down upon my sleeping lover. He snored slightly and I giggled to myself, he's so cute! I scanned my surroundings, and noticed that I was back in my old room. It hadn't changed a bit, all the furniture was still where it was 7 years ago. I was about to flip myself out of bed until, strong arms where wrapped around my waist and I was pulled back onto the bed. I pushed onto my back and Edmund jumped on top of me so I couldn't escape his grip. "Where are you going shorty?" he joked, smirking. The Pevensie's used to always tease me about my height because I was so small. The Pevensie's were all very tall, but to be honest I loved being small!
"I wasn't going anywhere, I was just thinking about how funny your snores are," I replied back with a smile. "Now get off," I laughed. "You're heavier than you think," I pushed him off of me so hard that he rolled off the bed. He hit the ground with a loud thump and I couldn't help but to erupt with fits of laughter.
"Hey! No fair!" he called from the side of the bed. I jumped out of bed chuckling and pulled my cream colored dressing gown off the dressing screen. I draped it around my body, and crossed my arms so I wouldn't expose my 'parts'. I walked over to the lounge in front of my bed and plopped myself onto it, bringing one knee up to my chest. I found myself in awe of Edmund's provocative, lean frame as he stood bare before me. I tried to tear my gaze from the pale outline of his magnificent form, but it was no use, and his devilishly handsome features shifted into a knowing grin as he caught me staring.
Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door, and we both jumped in shock. We laughed as a voice boomed behind the door, "Amelia...Meet us at the stables in 5 minutes. And Ed I know you're in there! So get your arses ready. And for the record, you both were very loud last night!" Peter's voice was so deafening the whole kingdom could of heard him! "Hurry up!" I pounced off the lounge grabbing a dress from my draw, and then I ran behind the dressing screen, and began to undress myself.
"Can I join?" Edmund questioned poking his head through, with the biggest smile tugging on his lips. I jumped, picking up the dressing gown from the floor and curtained it over my body.
"Get out!" I smacked him playfully. "Go away!" I shouted between Ed's eruption of chuckles.
Once I slipped on my dress and fixed up my hair, I stepped out from my dressing screen and realized Edmund was nowhere in sight. He must have gone to get dressed, I thought. I sighed quietly, strolling out of my room and explored the familiar corridors of Cair Paravel. It all looked so different compared to night. At night it felt as if you were at a never ending party and the wildness in the atmosphere would never fade. But day......Day was different. It was calm and peaceful, like walking through a garden full of bold colors, where all your troubles and stress wash away like a gushing river.
