Amelia's POV

I took off my black hood gracefully, shaking my head slightly, so that my hair wasn't in my face. The room echoed with low whispers and murmurs. Except the four that stood upon me. They were completely traumatized.

Susan and Lucy jumped back gasping as they held their hands in front of their mouths.

They grew up to be beautiful women, they were angels in disguise. They both grew taller and their features were more defined and prepossessing. I then noticed Lucy's hair and it was much more redder than the last time I saw her.

My glance moved over to Peter, who stood tall and proud. His features matured into an handsome man. A smile grew upon his pink lips. Nothing could ever dampen his spirit. And last but not least, my eyes fell over to Edmund. He just stood frozen in his spot staring at me, flabbergasted. Now he was an eye- opener.

His emotion was impossible to read. He was still the gorgeous angle I used to know. He grew taller in the years I had gone. And he definitely got even more beautiful from the last time I saw him. If that was even possible!? My heart bounced and jumped around as if it were to burst in my chest.

"Impossible," Susan gasped breathlessly. "guards give us a moment," she ordered. I couldn't be bothered to look back at the guards, but I heard all the feet clicking against the marble ground, and then a large bang. Then it was silent again.

"But - we- we thought - you-" Lucy stuttered. She must had been heart-broken, she was my best friend. More like a sister.

"I had to leave for a while," I told gloomily, remembering the night where I had left Cair Paravel without saying a 'proper' goodbye. It desolated me to think back at the awful memory. I should've at least given them a small departing.

"Leave?! For a while?" Edmund scoffed, his eyebrows furrowed and rolling his eyes, irritated. He did this when he was vexed or wrathful towards something. Unfortunately that something, was obviously me. "How could you leave us, how could you leave me?!" he spat bitterly, as he moved down the stairs. "Do you know how many days and nights I couldn't sleep because I thought you were dead?" I looked down at the ground the guilt feeling rush taking my dispirited heart. Tears welled in my eyes. "Did you ever care about how much trouble we went through to search for you?! Did you ever think ab-"

"ENOUGH EDMUND!" Lucy shrieked. "The main thing is that Amelia is back and she hasn't been harmed. Now stop your whining!" I lifted my head so Ed could see how hurt I felt. I just wish Edmund could understand what I did was only to cease the destruction of Cair Paravel and everyone with it.

The tears streamed down my cheeks. Edmund's eyes widened, suddenly discerning what he had caused. His angry, resentful face altered to an expression full of distraught and regret.

But I was wrong. He new that sadness was one of his weaknesses, so his mood suddenly modified back into an angry glare. He looked at me one last time, and then marched away from me. I turned to face his figure still striding away from our presence. He didn't even turn back and give me a second glance, just like they happened in the books and movies.

I stood there silently. I came here to make empathy, not to cause conflict.

Suddenly I was unexpectedly surprised by strong, firm arms wrapped my waist and my feet no longer touched the ground. I was up in the air, my feet dangling like vines. A laugh had finally escaped my lips. It had been a while since I had laughed. I was always laughing when I was here. My whole body spun around like a windmill, along with the person carrying me. A deep laugh escaped Peter's mouth as he set me down back onto the ground. I stumbled a bit but thankfully Peter held me by the arms tightly, making sure I wouldn't fall to the ground. Once I had my balance finally stabled, Peter pulled me into his embrace. His chest was big, muscular and hard. "I missed you Mia!" Peter called me by my nickname.
